I remember Mystery Dungeon

BEEEEEAAARRRS

how about a rousing game of pool
I had to go around with some dumbfuck shroomish who wouldnt stop Odur Sleuthing everything and getting all the enemies on my ass. God damn that was annoying, I tried doing that mission 5 times before I just quit it.

It seems like you were trying to do an escort mission. Those are always fun, aren't they? Like, I remember once when I was doing one, and the pokémon that I was supposed to escort died because of the weather: hail. This was in Sky Tower, and I was one floor away from my destination floor.

Because they're turning insane because the weather/time/space has gone out of whack?
Damn Hoothoot, dying a billion times on Mt. Freeze....and I wanted that reward so badly too...
Needless to say, that escort mission was never completed.
Although I've got to say, I've heard escort missions in pretty much EVERY game are bad. I heard the Peach escort mission in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga is pretty annoying as well~

Then they all come from the future of darkness and didn't become normal afterwards. They snuck into the portal with you and Grovyle.
/not really
Or, because once upon a time, they were innocent Pokémon in a mystery dungeon at the Kecleon shop. They forgot their money, and Kecleon defeated them in a crushing and brutal battle. Desiring to get their revenge, they became a little crazy. However, they were also cunning, and decided, instead of becoming outlaws and acting insane, they decided to act stupid and innocent, so they may one day kill the evil Kecleon when they come across him again. They merely observe your techniques, and pretend to act weak, so that they can copy you, who looks fairly strong or something.

Yes. In fact, everyone is a Ditto. XD
Only kidding, I acutally meant:
They only pretend to be weak and helpless, really they're building up their strength so they can murder Kecleon. By pretending to be weak, they can watch what you do and use it in their great plan later.

Psh. EVERYONE knows that there is a mass conspiracy against ANY Kecleon. Even if a Kecleon joins your team, they're constantly being plotted against by another Kecleon.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is one mass Kecleon conspiracy.

Why, of course.
Do you think otherwise? :posh:
If you do, have a Perfect Apple. :posh:

So let me see if I got the plot correct.
So, one day, a random human became a Pokémon. This human met another Pokémon. Then, they became a rescue team. After some strange events, they are accused of being the selfish trainer, but in all reality, it was Gengar. They ran away looking for evidence. Then, the end of the world was coming, caused by Kecleon. They fought Groudon and after coming out alive, Xatu tells them that a falling star will crash with the Pokémon world and destroy it, but he didn't tell them that Kecleon did it. The rescue team goes to the Sky Tower and fights Rayquaza so that the meteor sent by Kecleon is destroyed. The human transformed into Pokémon goes into the human world but back into the Pokémon world.

Exactly! ;D
Kecleon is the TRUE main villain. It's obvious from the start! :posh:

This also explains how he could manage his shop this well! He pillaged villages(yes, I did intend that to rhyme) for all the items so that he could be a rich bastard! Everything makes sense now!

Ugh, Kecleon. I still have bad memories of speeding through the game and accidentally pressing "b" when Kecleon asked me to pay for the goods I bought at his store in one of the levels. The Kecleons definitely travel in numbers, and for some reason they know exactly where you are whenever you don't pay? :???:

Yeah, to say that I got messed up in that expedition due to Kecleon is no overstatement. :-[

Whenever I find a store in a dungeon, and I don't have enough Poké for it, and have that one orb that makes all items on the floor come close to you(which, by the way, is called Trawl Orb), then I do this: I position myself close to the stairs; use it; get the goods; and then I'm out. It's a bit cheesy, I know, but you get the stuff you'd like to get without paying anything: a nice thing, isn't it?

It wasn't supposed to be funny. And, if you didn't noticed, I was being sarcastic there. I made that post so that there could be some discussion about something that people instantaneously recognised, as opposed to having to guess what the OP was all about. I also saw it as an opportunity to tell that little story, and I don't know why you didn't see that right off the bat, but whatever.

And now, to say something that's on-topic: I fucking love the music in all of the games. I don't know what's about it, but it's just so fitting.

BUMP

I hate escort missions, those freaking stupid clients make me waste ALL of my Reviver Seeds:

Machop used Low Kick!

It's not very effective...

HootHoot took 3 damage!

Death (me) choose Assist!

But nothing happened!

Squirtle used Bubble!

Squirtle's attack missed!

HootHoot used Peck!

It's super effective!

Machop took 15 damage!

Machop was defeated!

Machop was revived!

Death: That was my last reviver seed.

Squirtle: Oh shiz! Now were gonna die when we fight the next boss -.-

So, Darkrai plunged the world into darkness just so he could stop Kecleon?

Bumped~
@RandomGuy Yep! Well, not really. The TRUE story is...
Kecleon is the evil to end all evils.
Darkrai was the protector of the last Time Gear, the final dungeon being the volano shrine he kept it in. He wasn't an explorer or rescuer, so he didn't have enough money to buy a thing at Kecleon's shop he wanted and accidentally went off the rug to inspect it. Kecleon hunted him down and corrupted him, changing him into a Complete Monster forever. Kecleon, using his dark magic, turned the Time Gear into 100 Pokémoney. He uses Darkrai, the poor soulless being he is, like a puppet, until Palkia finally breaks him free of the spell Kecleon had him under for so long; however, the Time Gear can never be restored. Dialga assumes that the Time Gear Darkrai protected was a spare.
