Emulator Help

Google. Try that.

Silly ralph, you can't open a .7z archive with Google.

You need a huge digital can opener. Like 7-Zip, for example.

What emulator specifically? Once you have that Google "<emulator> configuration FAQ".

He's using the Dolphin Emulator. He's missing a certain .dll plugin. This means he needs to do one of the following:

He needs to update his Direct X runtime: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

Then he should install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.

32 bit version: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=5555
64 bit version: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632

If there is a specific .dll you are missing, you can always search it online. They might have it.

Ok, now what? I downloaded all of those things, Baby Luigi. Do I delete Dolphin and reinstall it?

You don't have to reinstall it.

Well, I'm not sure if that applies to my PS1 emulator as well, because it's still showing the message. So should I delete that one and reinstall it?

EDIT: It's also still showing the mssage when I try to run Dolphin.

Look up and download whatever .dll file is missing, then paste it into the Dolphin's folder.

Solution: Don't play emulators

And how is that a solution for his problem?

Because emulators suck (no offense to people who play them, I just think it is counted as pirating)

Don't blame the emulators, blame the people who distribute the ROMs. There are tons of people who can rip ISOs themselves.

I've tried one and it was really glitchy.

Sometimes, emulators don't work out as they are supposed to. It's just a fact of life that there are bugs. But you should try and appreciate the people's effort for trying to emulate the actual Wii/SNES/thing since it takes a BUNCH of effort for to work properly.

Emulation is perfectly legal, it's the distribution of ROMs that isn't. And emulation is pretty stable up to 16-bit in my experience.
