...discovered a file on their iPhones which records a person's precise location, along with a time stamp.

Was watching it on TV a few minutes ago. I'm relatively sure the thing about ANYONE being tracked is a pretty new finding. Before, I thought only police had access to this information. (A lot of people might oppose just that.) Ignore the reporter's sometimes ignorant conveyance of it - it seems serious if you watch on.

Bottom line, a lot of people can get this information. Not cool.
