Well, once upon a time, the earth was full of an ancient race of superior beings known as "Moderators". These "Moderators" ruled justly and well, with their incredible responsibility and amazing power of making people who annoy them break the rules disappear.

However one fateful day, the leader of the moderators retired and moderators began appearing less and less. Moderators began to dwindle away and their influence almost disappeared; to the point that people developed a nickname for them (mods)! Sadly, only few of this ancient race remain, and they use their powers justly and responsibly - keeping peace in some of the few remaining places where moderators still exist (like here).
