So I've had this question and I read the Mario Wiki page and the Wikipedia page for Birdo but now I'm just confused. Did she used to be trans and Nintendo changed it to female or not?

I have a little theory that the Mushroom King and Queen disappeared (Bowser's antics or whatnot) but there is no proof that they died or anything so that is why Peach isn't queen but a princess since her mother may still be alive.

Say, if Mario and Peach were to marry, would Mario become and king and Peach a queen? Or would they be prince and princess?
