Miitopia.
I only have six jobs left to grind through before I get that medal for being level 50 in every job.
I have 320 hours in this game and it's taken me two and a half months to get to this point.
I'm unreasonably passionate about this, I know. Spending like 50 hours or something ridiculous like that on a video script about Mario Party will do that to me.
As someone who's played all but two of the Mario Party games and who spent months on a video script ranking every minigame from 14 of those games, I'll defend them from the "Mario Party 9 and 10 are some of the worst games ever made" crowd all day but I can provide a somewhat big list of reasons...
I've played Mario Party 9 and 10 rather extensively and I can assure you, the car is not good. It's really fun to strategize your moves in Mario Party and the car entirely takes that away because the entirety of what you can strategize is whether to go left or right if you happen to be captain...
I don't know what to call it. I don't know the cosmetology words so all I can tell you is that I get the sides cut pretty short but keep the top a little longer.
I'm convinced someone at Nintendo realized they botched 3D All Stars by leaving out Galaxy 2 and then some higher-up thought "wait, we can capitalize on this."
I know there's a Fail Award for Nintendo's worst business moves but I feel like there should be one for decisions in specific games that are just completely incomprehensible. Things like introducing tank controls into SM64DS, making battle maps out of regular tracks in the original MK8, bringing...
I just know that my least favorite part of the actual teaching process is going to be preparing outlines and handouts beforehand but if I don't come prepared, my ADHD will start teaching and my class will get absolutely nothing done.
I realized today that I'm going to have to make lecture outlines for all my class periods once I start teaching. I know that's just a part of the job but it's going to be so uninteresting.
I'm sure this is just petty semantics but I come from I field of study where we do everything we can you avoid stating things in needlessly roundabout ways.
I'm sure this is a Xenforo thing and not something our staff could do anything about but why does the "you can't change your username yet" message say "You can change your username after X date" and give the last day and can't change it instead of "You can change your username on Y date" and...
Something about the fact that I got a "your connection is not private" message when I clicked on that link sure does make it feel like there's a cover-up of some kind happening.
I would love for them to release DS games as part of NSO but then how would they display them? The Wii U already struggled with displaying them and the only display that I actually liked (top screen on TV, bottom screen on Gamepad) wouldn't work with the Switch.
I'm replaying Miitopia on a different save file and I'm being reminded just how much of a drag the first part is. So much of it is just doing laps back and forth from Greenhorne Castle to do various people's busy work and it is so dull.
I think the problem is less that it's a gimmicky name and more that it's just so clunky. "Yoshi's Universal Gravitation" sounds like it can only be said in a mock posh British accent because it's so unnecessarily formal.
The update channel fixes that permanent softlock that you can get relatively easily in Twilight Princess (as far as I know, I've never played Twilight Princess) and I'm pretty sure Nintendo never made another channel like it.
Technically, you could still review the Wii Shop Channel as long as you're okay with your only sources of content being the Wii U Transfer Channel and the Twilight Princess Update Channel.
Based on the fact that we have number related "holidays" like Pi Day or palindrome week, I'm surprised I haven't heard more about Pythagorean day since it's only possible once.
Look, I don't care if the official title is "Gonna Make You Sweat," that's not what I or anyone else calls it. Let's just all collectively agree that the real title is Everybody Dance Now and that C&C Music Factory got their own title wrong.
