I haven't played it myself, but I've heard plenty of good things about it. I know the Wii one was one of those "crafted-with-care," revivals, one the devs really managed to imbue with the spirit of the original while making it modern. It's probably worth a try.
yes, punch-out is a great series, although one thing to keep in mind is that its very much an old-school arcade-type game, by which i mean it can get pretty difficult and you will have to fail and try again over and over. basically its all about memorising your opponents tells and learning to counter them, so its a good mix of practice and reflexes
if you've got NSO both the NES and SNES games are available as part of the collections, so you can give them a go there to see if it's something for you. the wii version of the most modern and is probably the easiest to "read" your opponents, but the other ones are good too, considering the limitations of the day
So, I think I'll test them on NES and SNES then maybe buy the Wii one.
What got me thinking about it is my best friend, he mains Little Mac whenever we play Smash, so I just randomly thought, "I wonder if his games are any good."
There was the NES, the SNES, and the Wii one, right? Just the three?
