Well, it took me about, oh, I'd say seven or eight years to beat it. I'm definitely going to play through it again.

Seven or eight years to beat it? Man, that's a ridiculously long playtime for the game. Does it start picking up at the third year?

I don't know, I got stuck in The Whoa Zone for a few years and left it as is. Then I came back with a guide and tackled it, beat it, progressed a bit, took a break for a year, then finished it.

No wonder why it's called the WHOA zone. Whoa that's a long time to get stuck in!

I actually restarted once. Or twice. Possibly three times.

It's an easy game. Did you collect everything?

I missed Dashell and don't have enough coins for Tiptron.

Buy a Catch Card SP, go catch the Amazy Dayzee in 5-2 next to the Yoshi statue, go back to Flipside and sell it and get a free 200 coins, repeat as necessary
