Yeah, I feel ya here. There are things you enjoy making, and then there are things that you don't. But they still gotta get done, even if you're doing a portion of the work as part of a team.
I personally would not recommend any branch of the military, but if that's the path you want to take, then give it your all. I hope things work out for you and your family, and we're always here to talk if you need us.

It's totally fine if you don't like modelling any more. You're young and have so much time to do different stuff. Air force sounds really cool. It's also possible that you're burnt out and a bit of time doing something else will make you like it again.
