    I am sooo stuck on the boo minigame in Super Princess Peach Shriek Mansion 3-6. There are way too many boos for me to tap them all away before they make it to the top screen and hit Peach (especially the Big Boos which take many taps to defeat), and it moves too fast for me to track which boos will and won't hit Peach.

    Hmm...its been a while since I played SPP, but when I faced King Boo, some of the Boos in the minigame took less hits to defeat than others. Maybe you should practice tapping the stylus at a rapid pace. Not too fast, but enough that you'll be able to face the boss.

    Hi everyone, just to let you all know the very sad news that unfortunately my former babysitter whom I really liked and was close to as a kid is very unwell right now, and her time is now very limited. This news came as a big shock a couple of days ago, as I had known she was not well previously but was not aware that she was getting worse. I'm hoping that I will be able to visit her in the time she has left and that she will be as comfortable and happy as possible in the coming weeks. My thoughts will be with her, her husband, and her kids.

    Hi everyone, just sending an update that I had a great day today. In addition to great presents, great food, and some fun times with my parents, siblings, and brother in-law, I really enjoyed continuing my tradition of watching My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013) every year on this day for the 5th year running, to commemorate when I first watched it with my (now late) paternal granddad in 2021. The movie recently came out on Amazon Prime, so for the first time I saw it on this platform instead of my DVD, and I have to say the difference in quality felt like night and day, to the extent it almost felt like I was seeing a remaster of my favourite movie. Once again I had an awesome time revisiting this movie, and also had an oat milk hot chocolate with vegan whipped cream and an apple as a tribute to these foods appearing in the movie.

    Today's my "veganniversary"! It's been a full year since I officially made my commitment to go strictly vegan on 24th Dec 2024 and I'm very proud of the journey that I've made. I'm looking forward to what the next year of veganism will bring!

    I just learned for the first time that the Batman The Animated Series episode Joker's Favor (S1E22) in 1992 was actually the first time Harley Quinn ever appeared in anything, and she was originally supposed to be a one off character. I saw this episode last year without knowing that was her debut, and always assumed she had appeared in other media much earlier.

    Hi everyone, I just finished the bonus disc of Adventure Time. By far my favourite part was the Diamonds and Lemons episode, which was a fantastic crossover between Adventure Time, one of my favourite shows, and Minecraft, one of my favourite video games. I thought the art style perfectly incorporated AT's charm with the blocky Minecraft world, and I thought it was great to see so many iconic faces in Minecraft form, and the writing and dialogue was pretty great here (especially Lemongrab yelling "unacceptable!"). I also loved how many references there were to many different aspects of Minecraft (e.g. pumpkins prevent enderman attacking when you look at them, zombies rarely dropping carrots, bone meal makes trees grow faster), and even some things that are more community aspects than the game itself (e.g. "griefing".) I also loved the intro and credits sequences, and it's cool that Fionna and Cake briefly appear in the former too. My only gripe is that Endermen are repelled by rain in Minecraft but are unaffected in this episode. Despite this being a non canon crossover bonus episode, I would definitely consider this one of my favourite episodes of Adventure Time.

    Other things on the bonus DVD included:
    • The Farewell Tour: A 40 minute "behind the scenes" video featuring a lot of the staff and cast of the show, I didn't watch all of it as it didn't interest me that much but it's a nice inclusion.
    • The Sonic Sounds of Ooo: Similar to the Farewell Tour but focused on music specifically, it was slightly interesting to me.
    • Come Along With Me Music Video: A music video with colourful drawings to go with the song, it was cool but a bit too much flashing lights and colours for me.
    • "Reboot" Animatic: This seems a very random inclusion, there is only one episode whose animatic is on the bonus disc when all the other animatics are in the discs for their respective season, but alright.
    • Comic Con Concert: This was definitely my favourite part of the bonus disc besides Diamonds and Lemons, it was really cool to see the VAs do live performances of several songs in the series, including a lot of my favourites such as All Gummed Up Inside, My Best Friends In The World, I'm Just Your Problem, Everything Stays, and Time Adventure. Although I still prefer the OST versions, it's nice to see the live versions too.
    That's all for my thoughts on the bonus disc! Looking forward to keeping you updated once I get to try out Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake.

    Hi everyone, I just finished season 10 of Adventure Time! While I'm sad this adventure is over, I have very much enjoyed revisiting this wonderful series I loved as a kid, and the final season is no exception. Here are my thoughts:
    • My favourite episode was the four-part season finale, Come Along With Me, which served as a fantastic conclusion to Adventure Time.
      I really enjoyed the future setting and the new protagonists Shermy and Beth, as well as BMO still being around in the future in a hideout full of treasures referencing past episodes. I really loved both the songs in this finale too. It's also cool that they had a whole intro sequence just for the finale. I thought the story was very moving and entertaining and an excellent conclusion to things, and loved the montage at the end. I literally clapped and cried out in joy when Marceline and Princess Bubblegum kissed. I enjoyed the callback to the song from Fionna and Cake. One minor thing that bothers me is that King Man pronounced he is now King Man in Temple of Mars, yet they go back to calling him Normal Man here. I was kind of surprised by how well I could remember this episode considering I only saw it once before and that was 7 years ago.
    • My least favourite episode was Blenanas, because I just didn't find it very interesting.
    • I thought The Wild Hunt was an okay season premiere, and I enjoyed seeing more of Huntress Wizard.
    • Always BMO Closing was a pretty fun episode with a silly premise.
    • Son of Rap Bear was a fairly fun episode, and an enjoyable if less than perfect last episode to focus on Flame Princess. I enjoyed all the rapping and some hilarious whimsical moments, such as Finn saying "Rap Bear, Son of Rap Bear's father, said his son, Son of Rap Bear..." and Rap Bear having a dinner with his son that escalated into a rap battle and Rap Bear saying "he rapped my legs off." This episode has an interesting continuity error though, since Flame Princess says she usurped her dad when she was 14, even though that happened in the episode Earth and Water, and in that episode there was a flashback to baby Flame Princess which was outright said to be 15 years earlier, so she couldn't have been younger than 15 when she usurped him.
    • Bonnibel Bubblegum was an excellent episode with interesting insight into Princess Bubblegum's earlier years.
    • Seventeen was a cool episode, it's nice that we finally have an onscreen birthday for Finn again for the first time since his 13th in Mystery Train. Another fun coincidence is that this episode premiered in on 17/12/17.
    • Ring of Fire was a fun episode showing Tree Trunks' surprisingly amazing backstory.
    • Jake the Starchild was a pretty entertaining episode which further explains the true origin story of Jake and his powers. It has a great plot twist too.
    • Temple of Mars was a great episode establishing that Normal Man became King Man, the new ruler of Mars, and showing what happened to Betty after "Elements". It has a great moral too. It also ends on a great cliffhanger that sets up for the season finale.

    That's all for my thoughts on season 10! Next, I'm going to check out the bonus disc in my DVD collection and after that I plan to watch the successor series, Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake, one day.

    Hi everyone, I recently finished season 9 of Adventure Time! This season was surprisingly the shortest by far at just 14 episodes, but it was still a good one. Here are my thoughts:
    • Surprisingly, season 9 kicks off almost immediately with another 8-part miniseries "Elements" - with just one episode, the season 9 premiere "Orb" in between them. In my opinion this was the highlight of season 9, I would say I enjoyed it more than "Islands" but less than "Stakes." If I had to pick one favourite part I would choose the last part, Skyhooks II. I do think that Cloudy was pretty boring and blatant filler though.
    • My least favourite episode was Fionna and Cake and Fionna, because while not as disappointing as The Prince who Wanted Everything it's still definitely a weaker F+C episode that barely even utilises the F+C universe since most of the episode is actually set in the main universe with F+C only seen in some parts through the video tapes. The only really interesting part of the episode is the introduction of an elderly Fionna in the "real" world, and
      She turns out to be an imposter.
    • Orb was a pretty nice season premiere which acts as a nice break between the Islands and Elements mini-series and does a good job of wrapping up the events of the former and setting up for the latter. It has a very interesting story about dreams.
    • Abstract was an interesting episode focusing on Jake and showing more of Jermaine and his passion for art.
    • Ketchup was a cool episode showing a fun dynamic between Marceline and BMO, having interesting retellings of the events of Elements and even showing more lore about those events which we hadn't previously known. The ending is very touching too.
    • Whispers was a very entertaining but ominous episode.
    • Three Buckets was a pretty good season finale, with a dramatic plot and climax, and a very mysterious ending.
    That's all for my thoughts on season 9! I actually already started the first 3 episodes of season 10 without realising it, because my DVD set lumps together seasons 8, 9, and 10 as just "The Final Seasons" and so I didn't realise where season 9 ends and season 10 begins until I looked it up haha. Nonetheless I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of it, albeit I'm still very sad that I only have one season left now.

    Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention: It's interesting to me that "Ketchup" confirms that 6 months in-universe have passed in between the end of Stakes (in season 7) and that episode.

    Hi everyone, I just finished season 8 of Adventure Time! I thought this was a pretty good season overall, perhaps not my favourite but still very enjoyable. Here are my thoughts:
    • My favourite episode was Five Short Tables, since it's awesome to finally have another great Fionna and Cake episode for the first time since season 5 (The Prince Who Wanted Everything wasn't great imo), which is also a fantastic crossover with the "Five Short Graybles" format. The scenes in this are all very enjoyable, especially the one with Butterscotch Butler who speaks with a prominent Glaswegian accent, Marshall Lee and Lumpy Space Prince's acting scene, and when we go layers deep into fanfics when Ice Queen reads a fanfic about Ice President reading a fanfic to Flynn the Human Being and Jacques the Racoon, about Janet the Fox and Lynn the Person.
    • My least favourite is hard to decide since all of the episodes were pretty enjoyable, but probably Horse and Ball since I just didn't find it as interesting as the others. I think James Baxter is okay but not my favourite as a character and didn't feel I needed another entire episode focusing on him. I did appreciate getting to see more of Raggedy Princess though since I find her pretty cute and remember mildly identifying with her when I was younger due to her being shy.
    • I thought Broke His Crown was a fantastic season premiere, once again it was awesome to have another Marceline and Princess Bubblegum focused episode and they both have pretty cool hairstyles and outfits here too, and the plot was very interesting too.
    • Beyond the Grotto was a supremely weird episode but reasonably enjoyable.
    • Lady Rainicorn of the Crystal Dimension was a pretty interesting episode which tells us more of Rainicorn's past.
    • Bun Bun was a pretty cute episode, and it's good to see Flame Princess and Finn having a friendly chat where they make amends, and Flame Princess being into rapping now.
    • Normal Man was an excellent and nostalgic episode which really hit close to home for me as I really related to Normal Man's character arc of seeking redemption for his past wrongs and reconciliation with his brother, despite having lost his powers. The scene where they climb the mountain and face its many challenges is pretty cool too.
    • Elemental was a pretty interesting episode, dropping more lore about the elements and introducing a very mysterious and kinda fun kinda annoying character Patience St. Pim.
    • Daddy-Daughter Card Wars was a cool episode featuring the return of the cool game Card Wars from season 4, and with a good moral about being respectful even when you don't win. I also enjoyed the focus on Jake's daughter Charlie.
    • Preboot / Reboot was a brilliant two-parter with a captivating plot, if a little confusing.
    • Two Swords and Do No Harm were also great episodes following on from Reboot, introducing an interesting (if confusing about how he came to exist) new character Fern. Finn trying to be a doctor was quite entertaining too.
    • Wheels was a decent episode introducing Bronwyn, who I quite like, but it feels incredibly weird to think that Jake is already a grandfather and even weirder that Finn is already a great-uncle (who, interestingly, is confirmed to still be 16 in this episode meaning he hasn't had a birthday yet since the season 6 finale.)
    • High Strangeness was a pretty interesting episode focusing on Tree Trunks and further exploring Princess Bubblegum's moral ambiguity as a character, but the whole having a family with aliens thing was a bit weird.
    • Jelly Beans Have Power is a cool episode where Princess Bubblegum learns to use her new superpowers.

    • The season concludes with the 8-part mini-series "Islands", which is the second mini-series after "Stakes" in the previous season. I enjoyed this quite a lot, albeit not nearly as much as "Stakes" (admittedly I'm partially biased there due to nostalgia).
      It was awesome getting to see more of the backstory/lore about the humans, Susan, and Finn's biological parents, and I especially loved finally getting to know Finn's biological mother, Dr Minerva Campbell. I found Minerva a much more likeable and interesting character than Finn's biological father, Martin, and even though, like him, she does some questionable things, she manages to see the error in her ways and make things right. The ending was very bittersweet though. I also found it interesting that her surname is Campbell, since I've heard online before that Fionna the Human's surname is Campbell, so now that makes sense. Thinking about things though, it does kind of seem a plot hole how Finn knows when his birthday is (as seen in Mystery Train in season 2) or heck even his name, if he was just left on the raft like that as a baby and never saw his parents again until he met his dad in season 6.
    That's all for my thoughts on season 8! I'm getting a bit sad that the end of the series is getting kinda close now, but I'm still looking forward to season 9!

    Hi everyone! I just installed Debian Trixie on my PC for the very first time! It came out a few days ago.

    The update process went very smoothly and I'm enjoying it so far without issues, however I wouldn't say there are any new features specifically that I've found useful - maybe that just says how great Debian 12 was already! I also love the new theme "Ceratopsian" by Elise Couper.

    Hey everyone, I just finished season 7 of Adventure Time. Interestingly, this season is back to being 26 episodes long, like the first four seasons. I think this season was quite good overall.

    - My favourite episodes were the 8-part Stakes mini-series because it was amazing to finally revisit a very nostalgic mini-series I really loved as a kid, and it totally holds up! If I had to choose a favourite part, I would say May I Come In (part 5/8) because Hierophant was my favourite villain.
    - My least favourite episode was President Porpoise is Missing because I found it a little bit bizarre and not very interesting to me.
    - Bonnie and Neddy was a fairly strong season premiere revealing Bubblegum and the Candy Kingdom's true origin story.
    - Varmints was a totally brilliant episode and by far the best in season 7 outside of Stakes, like Sky Witch I loved having an episode focusing on the relationship between Princess Bubblegum and Marceline.
    - Football was a surprisingly dark episode but I quite enjoyed it.
    - The More You Moe, The Moe you know was a decent episode, interestingly this is the first two-parter where my DVD collection lists it as a single episode in the menu and it plays the two parts on one continuous video, so I was confused about why this episode was lasting so long. Another very interesting fact, albeit one I didn't discover until afterwards, was that the promo art for this episode reveals that the character Moe is a Jewish guy, since we see him lighting a Menora (the candle with seven branches).
    - Blank Eyed Girl was a pretty creepy episode with a really weird ending but I kind of enjoyed it.
    - Bad Jubies was a fairly nice episode in a very interesting different animation style.
    - Scamps was a fairly fun episode showcasing how non-conventional learning techniques can be effective.
    - Crossover was quite a convoluted episode but still very enjoyable.
    - The Hall of Egress was a brilliant and extremely interesting episode, though confusing in parts, especially Bubblegum's voice saying "At the seashell's center lies the Cornucopia's smallest door." which I don't understand. I feel like this episode is probably meant to have some deep meaning and maybe I just don't get it yet.
    - The Thin Yellow Line was a pretty fun episode in its own right, but underwhelming as a season finale. This is the first time since season 1 that the season finale felt like an ordinary episode and not an epic special with a cliffhanger ending that opens the door for interesting new things to happen in the next season. I would have preferred The Hall of Egress as the season finale since it was much more interesting.

    That's all for my thoughts on season 7! Totally looking forward to season 8!

    I'm a bit late to post this but I recently rewatched the whole of DC Super Hero Girls G2 (apart from Superhero Feud and Space House, the first two TTG crossovers) in about a week and I really enjoyed it! It's still easily one of my all time favourite comfort shows, and it's a shame it had to end when it still had a lot of unused potential, but I'm glad I got to experience it nonetheless. I look forward to rewatching the show in future again and playing more of the game Teen Power and maybe reading some of the books/comics as well. Strong recommend to any fellow fans of superhero media or female oriented franchises!

    Hi everyone, I just finished season 6 of Adventure Time. Interestingly, this season had 43 episodes making it shorter than season 5 but still longer than all other seasons before it. Overall, I'd say season 6 wasn't as good as season 5 but still very enjoyable. Here are my thoughts:

    - My favourite episode is kind of hard to choose as there weren't any truly standout episodes for me, but probably Joshua and Margaret Investigations since it was interesting to see an episode set in the past, showing us Jake's true origin story and getting to see more of his parents.
    - My least favourite episode was The Prince Who Wanted Everything, since it feels dissappointing compared to previous Fionna and Cake episodes, as I found the plot uninteresting/cringe, it mostly focuses on Lumpy Space Prince who I don't like (despite liking Lumpy Space Princess), the characterisations of Fionna and Cake feel bland/out of character, and other established characters from the F&C universe like Gumball, Marshall Lee, and Ice Queen do not have significant roles in this episode.
    - I thought Wake Up / Escape From the Citadel was an okay season premiere, but it felt quite confusing/chaotic and I really dislike Finn's human dad as a character.
    - I really liked Sad Face, it's one I faintly remember watching as a kid, and it feels simultanteously bizzare, interesting, and meaningful.
    - Furniture and Meat was also quite a fun episode with a meaningful moral about the dark side of money, and I really liked the rap "Money."
    - I also loved Little Brother, which is another episode I faintly remember from childhood, and it tells a compelling story of a young adventurer in a previously unseen world inside Finn and Jake's treehouse, staying loyal to his quest in the face of temptations.
    - Everything's Jake was an interesting episode with a fun premise and a sad ending.
    - I quite liked Is That You, an episode I remember seeing as a kid, it was quite fun and interesting despite being very confusing.
    - The Cooler is an episode I remember loving as a kid, and definitely enjoyed coming back to. I liked the song, and remember asking my mom as a kid what "sentinels" meant trying to understand that line in the song.
    This episode seems like it's basically an allegory for the real-world issue of weapons of mass destructions, which is interesting. The fight scene was pretty cool too. I do have mixed feelings about Princess Bubblegum's questionable actions in this episode, because I want to like her, however at the same time the episode could be taken as an interesting exploration of her moral ambiguity as a character, especially near the end where she learns that spying on others was wrong and so shuts it all down. This episode furthers the conflict between Flame Princess and Princess Bubblegum which was seen in earlier episodes such as Burning Low and Earth and Water. Another thing I enjoyed about this episode was that it reveals FP's first name is Phoebe, which I think is a nice name that suits her.
    - I enjoyed The Pajama War because it just felt like a simple lighthearted fun episode.
    - Evergreen was a great episode, giving more backstory about the lore of Ooo and especially
    revealing the origin of the Ice King's crown
    - Dark Purple was a fun episode focusing on Susan and her friends rather than the usual main cast of Adventure Time, and I enjoyed the nostalgia as I remember it partially from childhood.
    - Walnuts and Rain and Chips and Ice Cream were both fun episodes since they're both titled after food items, so I found it fun to snack on walnuts and water, and potato chips (aka crisps here in the UK) and vegan ice cream while watching them respectively!
    - Hoots was a very good episode focusing on the Cosmic Owl, and it has a very interesting ending.
    - You Forgot Your Floaties was a fantastic episode which explains a lot of background lore at the same time as having a dramatic turn of events in the present, ending with a really big plot twist which is interesting to see how it will play out in later seasons.
    I thought it was incredibly smart how the vision of Simon in the water is muted but he mouths the title "You Forgot Your Floaties" which can be interpreted as symbolising "going into the deep end without something to keep you afloat" but she can't hear him because she's already sunk.
    - I quite liked Orgalorg, although I've known all along that
    Gunther is Orgalorg
    because I saw this episode as a kid.
    - I thought the two-parter season finale, Hot Diggity Doom / The Comet, was great. It was very captivating and dramtic and weird in an intriguing way, and had a good ending.

    Also another thing I found interesting about this season that I forgot to say earlier is that the season finale reveals Finn is 16 years old, which at least as far as i can recall is the first time his age has been specified since "Too Young" in season 3 when he said he was 13, meaning that at some point he had his 14th, 15th, and 16th birthdays "off-camera" so to speak, but we don't know when exactly. I was kind of surprised he was 16 already since he doesn't really look or act like he's grown up THAT much compared to earlier seasons.

    Hi everyone, I just finished season 5 of Adventure Time, meaning I'm now halfway through the show. This season was very good overall - probably my favourite season so far, and definitely a big improvement from season 4. Interestingly, this season was twice as long as all the other seasons so far, having 52 episodes instead of 26.

    My favourite episode was Bad Little Boy because I loved finally seeing a sequel to Fionna and Cake, and it was great to properly get to know Marceline's counterpart Marshall Lee since he was only a non-speaking cameo in the original episode. The songs were also fabulous in this episode, and the ending was very mysterious. It's also nostalgic as I enjoyed this episode a lot as a kid.

    My least favourite episode was probably the two-parter Lemonhope because I found it too weird and I didn't enjoy the story.

    - I thought Finn the Human and Jake the Dog was a very interesting two-parter season premiere that explores an alternate timeline in the AT universe, and I loved how it was resolved at the end.
    - I enjoyed Jake the Dad and found it wholesome and teaches good life lessons, although it does feel weird to think that Jake's a dad now since he generally acts much younger than his age and he's the best friend/adoptive brother to Finn who is still in his early/mid teenage years. I also found the ending kind of suprising but not bad I guess.
    - Mystery Dungeon was a hilarious episode featuring an unusual team of characters (with Lemongrab being particularly comedic) solving a dungeon, and I loved the plot twist that
    the whole thing was a setup by the Ice King in an attempt to bring his fanfictions to reality.
    - I absolutely loved Vault of Bones. I love how this episode focuses on the relationship between Finn and Flame Princess as they spend time together exploring a dungeon and I found their chemistry cute, as well as liking Flame Princess' hair and outfit in this episode. This episode reminded me a lot of Indiana Jones. I also really enjoyed the morals of this episode.
    - Simon and Marcy was a great and fairly nostalgic episode giving interesting insights about Marceline and Ice King's time surviving together in an apocalyptic world a very long time ago, and it shows interesting new sides to both of them. The episode is equally as sad as it is wholesome, however.
    - A Glitch is a Glitch was a supremely bizzare episode but I actually quite enjoyed it and found it entertaining, especially being a fan of computers and games in general.
    - I loved One Last Job and the interesting insights into Jake's criminal past it gives, and it's interesting Jake Jr says she's 22 which is exactly how old I am now.

    - I have mixed feelings on Jake Suit because while it was entertaining in some ways I didn't like how Finn and Jake treated each other in this episode when they're meant to be close friends/adoptive brothers.
    - I loved Be More and how it finally reveals BMO's backstory.
    - I loved Sky Witch as an episode focused on the female protagonists Princess Bubblegum and Marceline and the relationship between them. I enjoyed the callbacks to What Was Missing, as well as this episode furthering the implied LGBTQ+ relationship between the two ladies. It was also a good debut of Maja the Sky Witch and Crabbit. I also enjoyed the quote from Dylan Thomas' "Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night" which I remember I studied that poem in English class as a teenager and recognised it from this episode. This episode is nostalgic to me as I must have watched it many times as a kid.
    - Frost and Fire is another very nostalgic episode I watched many times as a kid, and I really enjoyed revisiting it. It has a lot of cool action fight scenes between Flame Princess and Ice King, as well as interesting drama and emotional tension.
    This episode also features the breakup of Finn and Flame Princess due to Finn deceiving her to trick her into fighting Ice King. Although I sort of enjoyed the drama there and thought the moral is valuable about how it's not fair and can be very hurtful to be dishonest to or take advantage of those close to you, I do kind of feel this breakup was too early, since they only became a couple in the previous season and aside from Vault of Bones I don't think there were enough episodes that focused on developing their relationship before they broke up.
    I even remember making my own video game based on this episode when I was a kid, sadly I no longer have access to that game now.
    - Too Old was a fantastic and highly nostalgic episode for me, as it's one I very specifically remember watching when I was closer to Finn's age and associating with my relationships to adults in my life, but I have to say revisiting this one now I'm 22 hits soooo different 😭
    - I also really enjoyed Earth and Water and also have lots of nostalgia from enjoying this episode as a kid/teen and relating to Flame Princess' struggles a lot, and I thought this episode was great character development for her.
    - The Vault was also a super interesting episode which finally addresses the cliffhanger ending of "The Creeps" in season 3, showing Finn's past life as Shoko and also giving interesting insights into the history of the Candy Kingdom. I like how this episode could sort of but not exactly be seen as a (positive) trans episode since Finn the Human boy used to be a girl in his past life and that's presented as normal and okay. It's also interesting how as far as I know, this is the first episode to reveal that Princess Bubblegum is actually hundreds of years old, there were some episodes including Earth and Water which showed she was older than she looks (e.g. she's already an adult in a flashback explicitly said to be 15 years ago) but they didn't reveal that she's REALLY old.
    - Apple Wedding is an episode I remember quite liking as a kid, but have mixed feelings returning to as adult for a few reasons
    1. While I enjoyed the debut of Tree Trunks' mother I really found it uncomfortable when she flirted with her ex-son in law, 2. Princess Bubblegum's behaviour was atrocious in this episode especially at the end although she does say the iconic meme line "nope nope stop talking go to jail" and 3. The King of Ooo is never held responsible for the ACTUAL reason that he's a terrible person and the wedding was a scam.
    - I enjoyed The Red Throne since it's also a nostalgic episode that provides even further development to Flame Princess.
    - I quite liked the season 5 finale Billy's Bucket List and thought it provided a very interesting cliffhanger reveal that
    Finn's human biological father is still alive out there.

    Mostly cause of Frost and Fire, aside from being a great (sarcastic) example of Finn's character,
    it has some odd sexual implications. It's pretty heavily implied that Finn, who is turning 14 or so at this point in the show and would just be starting to enter puberty, is getting turned on by watching FP beat the piss out of the Ice King, which is why he keeps encouraging her to do it, not yet being familiar with the social expectations of... all of that. Those Cosmic Owl visions he has could also be interpreted as wet dreams, and a lot of the imagery and subtext of the episode seems to suggest that's what it's about. I'll admit it's a bit of a crazy comparison to make, but a lot of people online seem to say that's probably what it's about.

    Season 6 is a fun one. It'll break your brain by the end, but it's definitely worth it and I think it's definitely one of the most well rounded seasons. Season 8 is my personal favorite, however.

    Just wanted to post to say that I recently finished the Storybook of Legends (Ever After High book) and I royally enjoyed it, it feels like all the charm of the series in a book format that leaves more to the imagination. So it's a strong recommend from me to any fellow fairytale fans :) And I'm looking forward fairy much to the rest of the EAH books!

    Hey everyone, I just finished watching season 4 of Adventure Time. Overall, this season gave me the most mixed feelings out those I've seen so far, but it was still enjoyable. Here are my thoughts:
    • My favourite episode was Burning Low, because I have childhood nostalgia for it and it has very entertaining drama with a fantastic high-stakes plot twist and climax.
    • My least favourite episode was Web Weirdos because I found it gross and weird, I didn't like the story or characters introduced, and it didn't have any redeeming qualities for me.
    • Hot to the Touch was a really nice season premiere which interestingly takes place immediately after Incendium (the season 3 finale), making this effectively a two-parter in between seasons 3 and 4. Across this episode and Burning Low it was lovely to see more of Flame Princess, since her role was quite limited in Incendium until the end.
    • I liked Five Short Graybles. It was interesting that it takes place in the far future, and tells five short stories about the main cast of Adventure Time. I did manage to guess the theme. However, as a vegan and animal rights supporter I felt uncomfortable with the scene where Princess Bubblegum puts a cow into a machine to make cheese, since this is clearly shown as uncomfortable and non-consensual for the cow.
    • Return to the Nightosphere / Daddy's Little Monster was an extremely confusing two-parter, but started to make a bit more sense in the second part. Overall it was not bad, but fairly weak compared to other two-parters.
    • Princess Monster Wife was a very dark episode. I sympathised with the wife a lot and felt very bad for her, especially at the end.
    • I absolutely loved Card Wars. I just thought the card game with holographic pop-up visuals was super cool.
    • I quite liked Sons of Mars, which greatly expanded the lore of Magic Man, Mars, etc. However, I didn't like how
      The King of Mars sacrifices his life in his very first appearance since the pilot, since he was a very interesting character.
    • I didn't like Who Would Win because of how it normalises violence and Finn and Jake beating each other up felt out of character and I didn't like it since I love their close friendship.
    • I have mixed feelings about the season 4 finale, The Lich. I liked how it was very high stakes, greatly expanded the lore of the Adventure Time multiverse, and left on a really intriguing cliff-hanger; however the episode's plot felt forced, rushed, and out of character (Finn and Jake learned stealing was wrong in multiple previous episodes), the start felt too weird for me, and the plot twist while dramatic was too obvious.

    That's all for my thoughts on season 4! I'm looking forward to starting season 5 and hoping it will return to being as great as seasons 2 and 3 were.

    @Tangle the Lemur I don't understand your first comment and what you mean with that image, is season 5 considered bad or something? I actually started the first four episodes already and so far it seems pretty good to me so far.

    As for Princess Bubblegum, I'm not sure I haven't really picked up on anything so far indicating she's a bad person, but perhaps that relates to things that happen in future seasons, in which case I don't want to be spoiled. If you're able to explain why you think she's not a great person without spoiling anything in season 5 or later, would you be able to do so?

    Regardless of her being a good person or not I didn't feel comfortable watching the cheese scene.

    I haven't seen the show in a while, but I'm pretty sure it's not spoilers to just say that her character has authoritarian/control problems. You'll see them more clearly in later episodes, but I think people commonly cite Burning Low as one example of that where the way she acts was just kinda weird in general. There are more obvious hints later on, though.

    As for the first question, season 5 is good, and I won't risk accidentally spoiling anything by trying to explain why I posted that image. It's just infamous for a couple of reasons.

    Eh, I don't really think she did anything malicious in Burning Low.
    Perhaps she should have been clearer to Finn and Jake in the first place "you can't kiss Flame Princess because she'll be overloaded and be a serious danger to herself and everyone else" rather than explaining it in complicated science but to be fair to her Finn and Jake chose to ignore her and regardless, she only intervened in their relationship because she was trying to save everyone, and not out of jealousy or spite. And once the disaster at the end was averted, she didn't try to stop Finn and Flame Princess being together anymore. I don't think it's an authoritarian/control problem to warn a friend that what they're doing is dangerous to them.

    Hi everyone, I just finished Season 3 of Adventure Time. It was definitely my favourite season so far! Here are my thoughts:
    • My favourite episodes were Fionna and Cake and What Was Missing, both being extremely nostalgic childhood favourites, in WWM's case I distinctly recall it being my #1 favourite episode in the entire show when I was a kid, with F+C being a close runner up. So I was over the moon when I encountered them right next to each other on the season 3 DVD having been wondering since the beginning when they'd show up. Both episodes feature very fun stories, lovely songs (especially I'm Just Your Problem and My Best Friends in the World), heartwarming interactions between the protagonists, and fantastic morals about womens' independence, and the value of truthfulness and friendship above material treasures. I also really loved Bubblegum and Marceline's outfits in What Was Missing, they're both very stylish and I remember styling my makeshift fashion after them when I was a kid. I also really liked the interactions between the two women in this episode, which although it's not technically the first time they interact it's the first we really see into their relationship, and as someone who cares a lot about the LGBTQ+ community being represented in media, I loved that this episodes subtly hints a possible romantic past between the two women, though I'm aware that sadly the episode got a lot of backlash from homophobes for this reason. F+C introduces a gender-swapped version of the main cast, who were very interesting to meet, and I especially love Cake. And I have to say that this episode really touched my young heart as a (then closeted) trans kid, and it really hits different to watch it now for the first time since I've now been living as female full-time for so many years, and who still hasn't really had a boyfriend yet.
    However, I do have kind of mixed feelings about the ending where both Fionna and Cake start talking with admiration about the "Ice King", describing him as "the hottest hottie", and it's then revealed that the entire story was all a very weird fanfic written by the Ice King. I am aware that there is more detail later on about the existence of Fionna and Cake's world but I don't know what these details are and don't want to be spoiled on them.
    • My least favourite episode was Paper Pete, because I found it largely boring and low-key gross in parts, didn't like any of the new characters introduced, didn't feel it had a good moral, and felt bad for Jake who just wanted to study his girlfriend's heritage in peace, thus I found Finn's behaviour selfish and unreasonable.
    • I thought Conquest of Cuteness was an okay episode, but not the best as a season premiere.
    • Memory of a Memory was a great episode with an engaging story with a great plot twist. I enjoyed seeing Marceline get further development to her character and backstory. I did find the scene with baby Finn a bit weird and off-putting though.
    • Too Young was a fantastic episode. I loved seeing Bubblegum in her younger form, and her interactions with Finn. This episode is also the debut of the Earl of Lemongrab, who is an extremely iconic and entertaining character, and I adored seeing him deliver his first "UNACCEPTABLE!!!" In my opinion, this episode definitely should've been the season premiere.
    However, I do feel a little dissappointed that the "Bubblegum is de-aged into a 13 year old" dilemma was resolved within a single episode having been the big cliffhanger from the season 2 finale, and a part of me wishes we'd gotten to see more of young Bubblegum.

    • The Monster I found a relatively weaker episode, for some reason I can remember it more than most episodes from when I saw it as a kid, probably I saw it several times I guess.
    • Wizard Battle was fairly entertaining and a decent debut for Abracadaniel, however I don't like how the prize for winning the competition is a form of physical contact with a female character, that feels kinda gross to me to be frank.
    • The Creeps was a very fun mystery episode, with an engaging plot, and ends on a mysterious cliffhanger which leaves me eager to find out more in future seasons.
    • From Bad to Worse was a brilliant, captivatingly dramatic zombie episode and a great sequel to the season 1 premiere, Slumber Party Panic.
    • No One Can Hear You was an extremely strange and confusing episode, but I guess I kind of enjoyed it.
    • Thank You was a very heartwarming episode which I remember well from my childhood, it makes me feel nostaglic and I'm not sure I remember the reason but I remember that this episode made me feel a sense of closeness and gratitude to my dad in connection to some of the time we'd spend together at weekends when I was younger.
    • Holly Jolly Secrets was an excellent two-part Christmas special, and though it feels weird to watch a Christmas special in May I wasn't going to wait.
    I also think it's very interesting how this episode is the first to reveal Ice King's backstory as a man named Simon Petrikov who was given magical ice powers but also driven to insanity, slowly becoming the Ice King, and causing his wife Betty to leave him. Though Ice King's only reaction to Finn and Jake uncovering his backstory is feeling embarassed he used to wear glasses.
    • Ghost Princess was a really interesting episode which expands on the titular character who previously had only been seen in minor appearances. It has a really good plot, starting off with an intriguing mystery before having a massive plot-twist mid-episode.
    • Dad's Dungeon was a very fun episode giving us more insight into Finn and Jake's dad, and the song Jake makes by remixing his dad's tapes unironically slaps.
    • Incendium was a pretty good season 3 finale - I'd say better than season 1's but not quite as good as season 2's. This time, we're back to a 1-parter season finale, but that's okay. This episode is a good debut to Flame Princess - a character I remember being quite a big fan of when I was younger - showcasing the cute, romantic, and curious sides of her personality as well as the angry and powerful side of her, as well as introducing the Flame King, Flambo, and the Fire Kingdom as a whole. I really enjoyed Jake's whimsical behaviour in this episode, such as him using his stretchy powers to pretend Finn was there before pretend-Finn gets mad and attacks Jake. I also thought All Gummed Up Inside / All Warmed Up Inside was a good song. Overall, I think this was a great episode to wrap up season 3 and I look forward to seeing more of Flame Princess in future episodes!
