Definitely seems to be the case. The deep red cloud is diluting rather well as it expands from the center of the victims chest, it's not a strong color like paint or food dye. The lowered gravity and different densities between blood and water are keeping it mostly around the victim's body.

You examine down the road from the Garage. A very expensive vehicle has had its windows smashed, its brakes removed, its tires ruined, and its front engine set on fire at the bottom of the road. The interior of the car seems mostly in tact, but the exterior is ruined. This was a vintage model, so that's quite an expensive bit of damage...

You examine the Icy Lake. Well, there was once a lake here. Now it's not very icy, or very lake-y.
Now, it's a crater filled to the brim with mushy old paper, stuck together with chunks of ice and several fish flopping around on the surface. They can't die, they're ghost fish, so all they can do is flop, and suffer, much like yours truly. Every single page is blank. A sizeable tunnel has been dug out of the mushy paper pile, and chunks of it scattered around the surface of the ice. At the end of this paper tunnel lies a steel hatch, which has been opened. A cavernous, icy slide extends into the darkness below. The crate and lamp from the previous night have been tossed aside unceremoniously.

Victor doesn't hesitate and wordlessly slides down the dark, cold, crystalline tunnel, leaving you all in the icy dust.

While sliding, this music begins playing in your head without any known source of sound. It must be tied to the tunnel itself.


The mysterious room, more like a bunker, is completely covered in sheets of ice, wooden securing beams, and hundreds of strange crystals that reflect rainbow light. A large Treasure Chest is here, opened, its contents taken. Some light hunting firearms, rifles and shotguns hang on the wall, some embedded in the crystals. A giant realistic fish head hangs from the ceiling, and in its mouth is a lone RPG hanging out of it like a cigarette. A coffee machine has a half finished, but ice cold pot of coffee on it, and a tin of opened beans remains unfinished nearby. Some scattered documents and covered portraits remain about. Lastly, there's a portable generator, which seems to be a miniaturized version of the Hydro Generators next door, powering a string of mining lanterns hanging around the crystals.

A large, hoop-shaped metallic "gate" leans against one of the walls. It has a Z on its side, labelled a "Z-Gate". It is currently unpowered.

Mona chimes in to reveal she's never seen this bunker before, but instantly recognises the smell of coffee as Gadd's favorite brew, so she immediately begins examining the room by poking it with her safety sign. "Was... Gadd hiding here?" she asks Vigil, who remains wordless.

Yes, generally speaking. Gadd pumps this chamber full of paranormal wavelengths to mimic anti-gravity conditions and test his odd-theories about cosmic entities, so it's not a complete vacuum. Y'know how poltergeists can float with objects and stuff? It's basically a close approximation. It can even reverse the gravity entirely!

Even if it's not completely vacuum sealed, no one can get in, or out, when it's operating, and it sucks up nearby objects in the lower exhibit as the plexiglass is lowered, which is why the code for activating this wondrous contraption is usually a staff-only privilege. Safety first, and all of that... sigh...

I suspect Gadd kept the activation method written down somewhere though, in case he forgot. Gadzy was doing a lot of studies on comet dust and how it reacts to the atmosphere at one point, in the hopes of replicating a strange streak of crimson he once saw in the sky.

So the dead guy's floating in a sphere of water, right? But all that water probably wasn't lying around in those exhibits to begin with. Had to come from somewhere, you feel me? So how clear does that water look from here? Bit murky, like lake water, or crystal clear? Maybe safety sis can tell us if some magic was involved here? Same with the flood in the Kitchen, actually.

You note the water is pretty standard freshwater, but the victim's bubble is dyed with a good amount of red blood, mainly concentrated around the victim's chest. You ask Mona to use Trace Elements I on the flooded rooms, and she turns on her newly fitted armor helmet darklight torch. Mona's elemental reading on the water is clear, the absolute bulk of the water is natural and unmagic; most normal freshwater has traces of water elemental magic in this facility, so it 99.7% matches her usual readings on the water used through the Complex as a whole, and not the lake or outside.

She states that darklight florescence can fade over time, especially in water, and that with such a large volume present, she can't rule one way or another whether paranormal forces have tampered with the water, just that the bulk of it was not created by magic.
 
Proceed into the lake and examine the ice. Let's hold a lighter up to it and see if it melts normally.

"I'd gone to the Bathroom (passing by the crazy doctor lady (Lyra) who was heading through the West Hallway to the Shaft) to give myself a protective coating of water, seeing as flames are not very fun. I wanted to make sure that if someone were to try and set me ablaze, it would be difficult. I wasn't worried about anything icy, of course, since I was on the other side of the facility from that tundra, so I went forward with my plan. After nabbing a pair of scissors in case I needed something stabby, I left the room (saw Winter outside!) and was walking over to the Graveyard when that detective guy (Atmey) SPRAYED SOME RED STUFF ON ME?? I HADN'T EVEN DONE ANYTHING?? I didn't know what the stuff was, so I decided not to risk it being some kinda poison and made myself go bald. Thinking back, that stuff was probably just paint, but seeing as some got in my mouth and I was throwing up throughout the night afterwards, that might have been a good call on my part."

"Anyhow, after the inconsiderate investigator thankfully took his leave, I walked on over to Vigil, who, being the nice ghoul he is, helped me put the bodies of the deceased to rest. We dug graves for the two (with help from Winter when he eventually arrived) and put a dirt layer over the rotting duo. I remember seeing that nervous Ghostbuster guy (Reigen) checking out a couple of the tombstones around the yard, and also the weird detective guy (Atmey) again distantly, who set the car in the garage aflame and pushed it down the road for who knows what."

"I took a second to check out the mausoleum in the yard and saw a weird lens in there facing me. That thing unnerved me, so I took my leave of the place and headed to the Garage (passing by the fire rat (MCD) rushing to the car with a look of terror words cannot describe) to reach the Studio; while passing through the Hallway, Victor spotted me with my bald head :(. In the Studio, I took some time to draw Vigil a little portrait as a thanks for his help. I went back through the Garage (passed by the fire rat again) to give it to the groundskeeper, but I made a copy here for you guys to see! Isn't it great?"

It is no wonder this entire facility is falling to pieces the way it is presently.
Floating bubble rooms? Reverse gravity? The entire place is infested with animus rot. A monument to a madman.

Frankly, it is unsalvageable at this point. Just tear it down and salt the ground.

RUBY WING, FIRST FLOOR

  • Found Slinky (Lupin III) in the gloomy bedroom in a weakened state. The creature seemed despondent, likely it was still in shock from its near-death experience the prior night. I immediately attempted to re-invigorate its motor functions via ergotherapeutic exercises, with little success. Having exhausted everything I could do at the time, I decided to just give him some water, to prevent any further drinking-related accidents.
  • Ratigan exited the metal lab and entered the foyer.
  • Silverfish (Jackson) emerged from the bathroom, utterly drenched in water. Maybe Slinky is not the only scavenger with an inability to moderate its water intake. We are possibly looking at a facility-wide malignant behavior quirk, no doubt a result of the inhumane conditioning that is so readily employed here.
  • Catfish (Lash) entered the metal lab, nothing standing out.
TOPAZ WING, FIRST FLOOR

  • Brimstone (Victor) was active in the garage, examining the metal carriage with a hand-held tool. It may have been lured by Jaw's strange courtship ritual from last night, which lends credence to my theory that scavenger reproduction works in a similar way as fish spawning. I will make a note to keep an eye on this scavenger in the following days, to see if any other effects manifest from this ritual.
  • There was "activity" happening on the forest grounds, but nothing specific. Just individuals passing through.
  • I found Vigil tending to Silverfish (Jackson) at the graveyard. Silverfish then suddenly began to vomit red water and ran off into the mausoleum.
  • Returning to the garage, I found that Brimstone had moved on. Instead, Plumage (Atmey) was throwing itself at the carriage and moving it outside. It is astounding how many scavengers have become ensnared by Jaw's ritual. It must have been quite a desirable mate. Possibly something about the large chin.
  • There was someone in a red paint splattered welding mask inside the vehicle while Plumage was preoccupied with it.
TOPAZ WING, BASEMENT

  • No activity in the dark lab.
  • Met Tempest outside the quarry pit with a pickaxe. He accompanied me back up through the cargo lift to the first floor and departed for the foyer.
  • The Symbiote (Lyra) emerged from the lift before we went up. Unfortunately there was no time to further study this specimen and its erratic behavior at the time; I only watched it enter the quarry.

SAPPHIRE WING, FIRST FLOOR

  • I saw Caltrop (Lee) enter the old bedroom.

AMETHYST WING, FIRST FLOOR

  • No activity in the container yard.
SAPPHIRE WING, OUTSIDE

  • No activity around the lake for a while.
  • The Alpha (Reigen) approached me at the lake after a while, wearing a diving suit and smelling faintly of vegetables. It seemed lost and about to jump headfirst into the lake (yet another case of lacking moderation around water), so I drafted it into our planned trust-building exercise with regards to the lake.
  • Pick (Lulu) approached a while later, and I offered it some milk. I had observed the night prior that the horn-like growth on its head lacked integrity (honestly, it felt more like cloth than cartilage). I'm hoping that supplementing its diet with some calcium will improve the creature's bone density, so it can swim happily and break through ice sheets again, just like nature intended.
  • Together we... performed some completely inane lunacy. I'll be honest, I'm embarrassed to even attempt to describe it. Let's just say it took care of the lake water and allowed us to reach the hatch at the bottom. It also took a really long time.
  • The Symbiote was active in the area during our activity. I reached out and noticed its head was wet (why is every scavenger in this place wet or about to drown themselves?? What is Gadd doing to them??). Its hands were also quite bruised, so I patched them up and sent it off. It went in direction of the train exhibit.
  • Someone was lowering a large object from the terminal as the Symbiote went off that way.
  • Still together, I, as well as Alpha and Pick, discovered the bunker room under the lake.
AMETHYST WING, BASEMENT

  • We exited the bunker room through a one-way door, leading us to the hydro generator.
  • Emseedy (MCD) emerged from the quarry and headed towards the cellar.
  • I observed Pick and Alpha retreating towards their domicile. It had been an exhausting night, so I did the same.

I would like to procure some recording equipment and make extensive recordings of the crime scene through the plexiglass, so we have something to refer back to if we need to examine the room in its anti gravity state.

Then, unless anyone strongly objects, I would like to disable the plexiglass thing so we can get a better look at the crime scene.

Ask Vigil to use his autopsy powers and all that.

Right, well this is all looking rather unfortunate for me. It seems like someone may have already taken a stab at one of my potential schemes, and based on how my route ended up... it looks like they're trying to frame me for it too! If that overly-dramatic cube hadn't locked us in here, I'd put the crown jewels on Basil having done it! Well, if we have any chance of figuring out who actually did it, I suppose what I saw in the night would help us all.

I woke up, and saw Dr Ghouligrab leaving with some sort of backpack contraption, and that detective Atmey waiting outside Coral Glasses' door. I had no real urgency to get to work, so I waited to see what he was up to, though he left shortly after with little fanfare. I myself then made my way to the Metal Laboratory, for as I had alluded to earlier, in amongst my workings last night I found some plans for the Antigravity function that has unfortunately become the centre of the investigation. As part of this, I needed to obtain some sort of password from the laboratory, and as such I set to work finding it. It didn't take terribly long, and I saw Prince Winter with his gramophone in the hallway as I left. I made a brief excursion to the Archives on my way to my next destination, to see what was in that box of tax information- though it disappointingly turned out to be nothing.

Next I made my way to the Container Yard, to begin preparation for my main intentions for the night. For all of his flash and tawdriness, that King Blockhead does not know how to put on a show for an "execution". Just hit them over the head with a painting and that's it? How dull is that? There is no point to public executions if you can't make a show out of it- or if it isn't immensely painful for the one being executed. So given I have the time and the resources, I've decided to rectify that by improving upon my last public execution device to create a better one- for now I'll be calling it the Even More Marvellous Trap, but that's just a working title. I took a lifting dolly to the Workshop, and begun to create some of the mechanical parts I would need, as well as obtaining an anvil- an absolute classic for this kind of thing. To save time on making a rigging structure, I decided to repurpose some of the parts of the terminal, so I took my mechanical pieces and anvil there, and begun stringing them up to the wires- this still took some time, but it is negated by how much I've saved not having to work on structural integrity of the rigging. Additionally, id we can get those screens working, we can create a motion picture of the execution- it seems like the perfect placement for the trap! I then made my back in, seeing the Prince again in the Container Yard, and then to the Plant Nursery for some of that red elemental fruit. I made my way upstairs through the Hollow Tree, hearing some kind of grunting and scraping coming from the outside. I then headed into the Parlour, coming across MCD and the Wraith Fit Trainer putting together some kind of radio show about exercise. I took the fruit to the fireplace to gain an Elemental, and then left the room to the Kitchen.

And here's where it starts looking rather unfortunate for me. I made my way into the Dining Room, where a pie had been left upon the table, and water was beginning to flood in from the Kitchen. As I aimed to obtain more trap parts, I made my way in there, and found that it was flooded. I went into the Smokehouse to obtain a meat cleaver, which was also being flooded from the direction of the Kitchen. As I made my way back in there, Mr Chaolan was in there too, looking at the water with a Darklight- it seemed to be reacting to it quite strongly. I then, apparently through a lapse in judgement, decided to pass through the Space Exhibit to prime it for entering the code, as the files had noted to do so. I had no intention of turning it on- however, it seems like someone had been through before and done that. And this is where the framing part seems to come in- as I went to prime it, to test the code, the blasted thing turned on! Further chaos was caused by the fact the room was even more flooded than the Kitchen, and as the thing started, the floodwaters went down into the Aviation Exhibit! And if that wasn't bad enough, up from the Aviation Exhibit comes the dead body, bleeding out from the chest and into the water suspended around it!

Well, I'm already suspect number one now apparently, so I did my check in the Crow's Nest for large events- beyond some lunatic attempting to climb the outside of the tree and the flood starting with a splash, I have no other insights there. I then made my way to the Nautical Exhibit, and picked up a cannon for my trap, and took it out to the Terminal to lower it down and make a few other adjustments. While there, I heard a jolly ditty coming from the lake, which seems to have been drained by that point. I must thank whoever did that- the uncovering of that room filled with shotguns will prove most helpful for me. I then had to call it a night, so went down the terminal, meeting Vigil at the bottom, who so kindly let me in the side door, where we could see that the Gallery had been trashed. I made my way to bed after that.

So, from this it seems that Mr Boo and Mr Striker were killed in the Aviation Exhibit perhaps? Can we take a look at the general state of the room?

Additionally, the flood waters seem to have some ghostly traces- Can I take an elemental fruit, load it with water elementals, and then try to create a flood in a relatively safe location? While this happens, can someone shine it with a darklight so I can see if it matches what I saw last night?
 
Not gonna lie to you, fellas, the Lash fell pretty short of achieving his goals last night. It uh, happens to the best of us. Guess any night we don't get murdered in here is a pretty good night though.

So I hopped outta bed, ready for some action, when I bumped into that trick-or-treater (Lulu) in the hall. I know there's ghosts and spooky skeletons and stuff around, but you're still a few months early for that, pumpkin. Probably a few years too old, too. That monkey-faced fella (Lupin), was there too, clutching his safety water bottle and lookin' all sad n' stuff. Didn't care about that though, so I left to the Garage - saw the ice dragon (Winter) and Safety Sis (Mona) on the way. Didn't find the darklight I was lookin' for, but I did find Victor digging around for something. Might actually remember that chump's name, but he's a bit less...undead than the other Victor I know. Keep that up buddy. Anyway, I moved on to the Metal Lab and got what I wanted. I also saw a filing cabinet had been rummaged through, and someone left a folder with the astrological sign of Aries lying around. Had a bunch of gibberish I didn't care about in it; zodiacs are for gullible women and chinese buffet placemats.

Left to the Hollow Tree after that, spotting monkeyface leaving the Gloomy Bedrooms looking somehow gloomier. You know it's just a name, right? One we can workshop? I was thinking 'Awesome Dorm for Hot Babes and Beefcakes' but I'm open to suggestions. I investigated the Hollow Tree Heights, where I noticed a couple strange things. First, the light filtering through the branches from above casts a shadow on the floor of the Tree Roots that sorta looks like a keyhole. Second, I could make out a purple glow above the branches, and what looked like a...tiny house? Maybe that's where our little witch lives, hah.

...Nah, really, I got no idea what that's about. It was too high up to reach so I just moved on to the Rafters, where some sorta talking mannequin (Wii Fit Trainer) forced me into a spontaneous workout sesh. The Lash is not opposed to feeling the burn, but he is skeptical about the efficacy of these 'shake weight' things she gave him. Then she made me play some sorta mini-game where I had to push stuff around, 'Suckban' or something, and...man, I do not have time for this shit.

I left her to go to the Crows Nest, where I had a plan to climb the outside of the tree. I had one of them prototype gaddgets all ready to go for that, and it just...didn't work. Is the Lash not worthy? AURUMDESIRE my ass, this thing is fool's gold. Luckily, the Lash had a backup plan...which uh, also didn't pan out. Yeah yeah, I'm probably the 'lunatic' that Ratface saw climbing the tree...No matter how far I climbed, I didn't get any closer to the top. It was like some sorta supernatural force was trying to keep the Lash down. Alright then, tree, keep your secrets, but I saw that same purple glow coming from the treetop out there too. Something's up there alright, in that 'canopy'.

Well, that was a bust, but I still had other plans at the Ceremonial Chamber. On the way, I passed Lee checking out the ships in the Nautical Exhibit and Jackie Smiles (Jackson) heading into his room at the Old Bedrooms. More like the 'Lame Dorm for Losers and Bebop'. So I get to the throne room, and what do I find? Somebody had the guts to take my seat. Yeah, I'm talkin' to you, Four-Eyes (Coral Glasses). The Lash is too much of a gentleman to wake a sleeping beauty, so he tried just sitting on the arm of the chair, and...do I even need to tell you it didn't work? What I mainly came for was the banner in there, though. I took a peek at it on the first night we were here, but it was too dark to get a good look. Came prepared with a darklight this time! It was a heart shape, divided into four quadrants, each with a symbol inside it. Under darklight, each quadrant revealed a second symbol. Might sketch it out for you later if I'm feeling generous. I turned the light on Four-Eyes and saw she was glowing while she was sleeping, so I'm pretty sure there's something paranormal about that chair and those dreams it shows us. She woke up and we locked eyes, stared at each other with just a hint of romantic tension, when suddenly - clang! A noise like chains coming from somewhere. It totally ruined the mood so we scrammed, and there was a big hunk of marble with an 'X' on it in the Guard Hall that wasn't there before. If one of you's trying to capture my image in sculpture, I'd be glad to offer my body as a reference. Four-Eyes left up the Cargo Lift while I went to go give another pep-talk to the Tan Man (Tanner) as he left the Hydro Generators. I think I'm starting to get through to him.

Went back to the Awesome Dorm for Hot Babes and Beefcakes after that. Yes, that is its new name. If any of you bookworms knows how to get this gaddget working, or a way to get up to that...purple house thing...gimme a holler. The Lash is a team player.

Not sure 'bout the murder though, on account of me not really being near it again. Pretty sure the exercise mannequin and Ratface can cover for me being busy while you guys were killing each other. Not very team player-like if you ask me.

You pick up a chunk of discarded ice at the lake and hold a lighter to it. It melts like ice normally would. Magical ice would probably melt much faster as its more susceptable to its elemental weakness.

You set up a few tripods around the double high chamber with camera equipment borrowed from the Garage and Metal Lab. It captures the state of the two rooms quite reliably.

The Aviation Exhibit appears to be mostly untouched aside from the stairs leading down into the exhibit, which are waterlogged quite substantially. The stairs terminate close to the plexiglass chamber itself, on the east side of the room. The west side of the room is mostly dry, which would indicate that the flooding in this room was not even. There is a splatter of blood at the bottom of the stairwell, but its diluted with water. There is no bloodsplatter on the barriers.

You lure a water elemental into one of the blue fruits, possibly a watermelon now that you think about it (probably do not think about it). Then, you step outside to the Forest Grounds, pull the stem of the fruit, and chuck it like a grenade. The amount of water released from the magical fruit and elemental are amplified quite substantially, but certainly not enough to match the amount of water in the chamber. Additionally, the water remains bright when darklight is shined on it.

Satisfied with your investigation, you indicate that its probably fine to disable the chamber now. Mona presses two star shaped buttons on the wall of the Space Exhibit, and then urges everyone to stand outside of the two rooms as they realign.

The floor closes between the two rooms, partitioning the chamber in two, then the paranormal energy is disabled, causing the water, objects, and blood in both rooms to mix and dilute further, then when the shutdown sequence is complete, the plexiglass rises from below, expelling the water in both rooms rather evenly. You note that even so, the amount of water is quite substantial, more than the flooding in the Kitchen. The body is now in the center of the space exhibit, while the many objects are now scattered between the two.

Vigil conducts a detailed autopsy, scanning the body with his lantern before giving his initial assessment.

It's clear the victim did not suffocate from the water, he was stabbed through the chest and his lung was punctured. He bled quite substantially, he was stabbed most of the way through, while the stab wound is highly irregular and lacerated at the front, suggesting he was jabbed multiple times, possibly with different weapons, which makes recreating a direct comparison to the stab wound quite difficult.

Additionally, two of the victims limbs are broken, and he is quite bruised on his back. This suggests the body fell from somewhere.

Vigil puffs his cigar and nods. He elaborates there are a few places the bruising is concentrated, meaning he was hit more than once. Falling down the stairs would be a very likely, if not exact, source of the bruising.

Mona chimes in with extensive knowledge of the facilities wacky machines, and states the Space Exhibit has a few functions like the other three exhibits.

You activate the rooms functions by pressing combinations of named stars found in famous constellations, and then entering a code of letters and numbers on a panel that appears from the wall afterward. She suspects Gadd left details on these mechanics in a few places, but she's memorised them all herself.

When activated by pressing two stars which are part of Aries, and inputting its code, the following things happen to the Space Exhibit in order
- If the exhibit isnt primed, then initialise startup, which takes a long time. Then, then exhibit is primed for use.
- The floor opens between the two rooms, creating a hole in the Space Exhibit floor.
- A four-walled plexiglass barrier (square) descends from the ceiling, encasing this hole in an inaccesible chamber.
- An initial wave of paranormal energy sucks in any objects near the bottom of the chamber in the Aviation Exhibit to ensure nothing gets bisected when completing the airtight seal.
- The chamber is flooded with paranormal energy, making it zero gravity. Entering the code again turns it to antigravity, making everything in the chamber stick to the ceiling instead.
- The result is a two storey glass antigrav chamber, which is quite impressive to look at from both floors even if it produces horrifying balls of blood water like this.

While her memory of Night 1 is still hazy due to the whole dying for real situation, her helmet being in the room probably indicates she did her usual rounds of checking the Space Facility, which involves priming the exhibit herself for the next use.
 
Place the victim's body at the bottom of the stairs and turn on the antigravity exhibit to see if the body gets sucked up.

You do this, it seems to get slurped in there pretty reliably.
