After studying Bowser's vehicle stats further, it seems that for some of his vehicles, he sacrifices speed for better handling, which results in some stat inconsistencies when compared to the other weight groups. Apparently this only applies to the vehicles that offer 2.6/4 speed for the...
Well I sure came across a curious predicament after seeing the following video. On the Mario Kart World Direct, Bowser was shown to have the same speed and handling as Donkey Kong (but has less acceleration and more weight), and yet the demo says otherwise. Something clearly is a miss here...
A new gameplay video has been uploaded earlier today, and the footage does confirm that Wiggler has the same stats as Donkey Kong and Cow.

I think one of the biggest concerns about Mario Kart World right now is one of its biggest selling points (Knockout Tour) not giving you the option to create your own custom rally. The 8 rallies that we've seen can end up turning very stale once you get down all the routes and hazards.
On a different topic, I did review the Direct again, and I noticed that Bowser actually has the same speed and handling as Donkey Kong, but he has higher weight, at the expense of having less acceleration.
Based on the backlash that I've been seeing, it's clear that people are looking at Mario Kart World as an absolute waste of time, and not worth the hefty price tag. We basically went from a massive hype, to a commercial failure, in just half a month.
Maybe not, and it also helps the (so-called) Magikoopa Orb feel more interesting; not only does it spawn a certain generic enemy, but it can also temporarily transform racers into that very enemy. The one thing that I do have to question, however, is whether or not there's going to be more than...
When you think it over, the way that Mario Kart World's roster is being handled is basically Nintendo's way of responding back to the people whom felt that Mario Kart 8's character additions were wasteful. If you think that the Koopalings, Baby Rosalina, and Pink Gold Peach are wasted slots...
You know, I'm actually quite surprised that Poochy hasn't popped up anywhere (yet). If a generic cow was able to get in, what's stopping Poochy from making his first playable appearance in a home console Mario Kart title?
Likewise, Dry Bowser and Petey Piranha feel left out in the cold.
Here are the stats that I was able to get from the Cow's Rally Kart...
Speed: 2.6/4
Acceleration: 1.6/4
Weight: 2.4/4
Handling: 1.4/4
This pretty much means that there are stat differences between characters, with the Cow's speed and weight being 0.4 units (out of 4) better than Mario's, but...
Anyway, on a different subject, for some notable information that I've gathered from today's videos, here's the stats for some of the vehicles when Mario is riding them...
