I enjoyed the original live-action movie in a"So bad it's good" sort of way. I enjoyed the original anime movie as well, though it never received a proper translation. I think, especially seeing the fancy CGI intros to the Mario sports games, a Mario movie done entirely in 3D animation...

I actually like seeing Mario and Luigi work together, in such games as the Mario and Luigi series and Super Paper Mario. It's cool to see cooperation between the two, and their interactions together are much more interesting than either alone.

Wario! I love the Mario series too though, and am also quite fond of Zelda, Kirby, and Mother/EarthBound. I'm kinda interested in Pokemon, but I stopped buying the games after the original Red and Blue versions.

I can't see anyone else working as the main character of the Mario series.

Yoshi is a subseries within the Mario series, just as Wario and Donkey Kong are. I say it's fair enough.

Your whole point was that "Bowser is the main villain too often", but I just proved that he ISN'T the main villain almost as often as he is. I see nothing wrong with Bowser being the villain of Super Mario Galaxy.
