Roshambo Battle Royale - Signups are open!

Wait a moment, why can Graphite Guy enter? He's an actual supervillain! Yes, he's not that good at it, but he still robbed a bank. A bank! I've seen people get kicked out of contests for just being rude! WHY ARE WE LETTING HIM PARTICIPATE?

Graphite Guy: Because NO ONE is able to contain the MIGHT and GLORY of GRAPHITE GUY! You soggy wad of wheat bread!

(This is not about Boo1268, it's my character in-universe wondering why a supervillain is taking part.)

Guard Toad:
I see your concern. But this goes against our motto. "All are welcome here". If it is safety you are worried about, be at ease. There is no place in the world more secure than a Roshambo Temple. And particularly this Roshambo Temple is under the protection of the Great One. You said he robbed a bank? What would he come here to steal? A title? A better appreciation for the art of Roshambo? No, I think not. Such things can't be taken by force.

Guard Toad:
Now what about you? Why have you come to our little competition? By the looks of it, you came from very far away.

I came for honor...... as well as free snacks.

Guard Toad:
Ah, in that case, please take a look at our menu. One second.

Guard Toad quickly scurries away. Then you catch another toad motioning to you out of the corner of your eye.

Café Toad:
Welcome to the Roshambo Temple Café. Would you like to order something?

Hmph. The ancients of this nation really competed in something as basal as Rock Paper Scissors? The things I do for social studies credits. Hey! Whoever it is running this place! I wish to Enter! Hopefully there's a extravagant trophy for the winner... who will be me of course.

Café Toad notices the newcomer and quickly darts through back in the temple.

A few moments later, Guard Toad emerges from other side of the temple.

Guard Toad:
Ah hello there! I've got you signed up! I see you're also interested in learning about some history? In that case, I have some useful information for you!

Guard Toad:
Rock Paper Scissors, or Roshambo, has been a long running practice for many centuries. It is said that the most earliest form of the game was "Rock, Bigger Rock, Biggest Rock". Although, the mechanics were a little broken. As time went by, people began to loose interest. And soon, those who still practiced the game died and the art of Roshambo was completely lost to paper-kind. In the past century however, a few surviving texts were discovered and through modern technology were translated to rebuild what was lost. Roshambo has become wildly popular in the last decade or so and many variants of the game were created. The most popular of them being Roshambo Battle Royal, which is what this competition is.

You know, I could stand here all day talking about all the fascinating history of Roshambo, but you know, I've got things to do! It was nice meeting you!

Guard Toad bolts off again. And in three seconds flat, Café Toad emerges from the depths of the Cafe.
