i just finished everything, both epilogues and postscripts

this is.. honestly really good bros. fixed all the problems i had with mid-late homestuck, turned the ultimate self concept into something interesting, is actually conclusive while still giving a lot of stuff to chew on.

meat was super heavy hitting and candy had the classic hs vibe despite the stakes. or the steaks. whatever theyre both great stories

if i had to recommend a reading order it'd be meat 1-25 -> candy 1-finish -> meat 25-finish
you are delsuional they sucked ass.

I heard Toby Fox, the guy who made undertale, my favorite non-mario video game, worked on this webcomic. I think he made some of the music.

Don't be sad. I'm sure one day you, too, can escape the tyrannical grasp of Homestuck and join us in the sun.

I'm not qualified to answer that question definitively, but I believe killing yourself over Homestuck would be a monumentally bad idea.

Like, even worse than making the decision to start reading Homestuck in the first place. I'm still regretting that one.

Should I read Homestuck?

Honestly? No. I can't recommend it.

It is extremely long and meandering, ends in a lackluster way, and due to numerous retcons and alterations, it was more of a thing that you had to be there for when it was still in progress to get the full experience. The experience you would be getting now is lesser, and it wasn't particularly good or fulfilling even back then.

There are a million other things you could do in the time it would take you to read this, things that would be more worthwhile, and myriads of other shows or comics or books you could take in that would leave you more satisfied.

If you want to get the best thing out of this without having to slog through this entire mess, do the following: Just look up and listen to the music. The music is unironically good. Some of it was made by Toby Fox even. MAYBE look up the flash animations if you really want to see them. You won't understand them without context, but really, it's not much better WITH context either.

I can see by your signature that you're a fan of Undertale and Deltarune. I know Homestuck is sometimes associated with those games because, IIRC, Toby Fox coded some of Undertale in the Homestuck guy's basement. But to make one thing clear: this is NOT another Undertale or Deltarune. At all. This is a whole different mess that won't give you the same feelings. You will not miss anything by not reading it.
