So, they've gone back to colors? Honestly, I always wanted Black and White Version.

Also aiming for an August 2010 release date.

Maybe it'll be Pokemon CLEAR where you can't see anything.


Also, they still haven't used Water, Light, a bunch of other basic stuff.

Yay for Black and White. However, the old pseudo-3D is looking better than the new pseudo-3D, imo.

Five games makes more money than three.

MagmaRuby & AquaSaphire are going to happen.
 
Red and Green were released 8 years prior prior to FireRed and LeafGreen. It has been 8 years since Ruby and Sapphire were released.

However, in my opinion, the major difference between the two is that the Pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire can still be traded up to the newer games, unlike Red, Blue, Green, Silver, Gold, and Crystal. This is not to say that Nintendo will not release remakes of the two (which would be a welcome change, since the music and graphics in Gen III were subpar, at best, even if it did revolutionize competitive play), and if they do, I would welcome it, considering how HeartGold and SoulSilver were amazing games. However, it is not as sure-fire as FireRed and LeafGreen.
 
Also count the fact that Red and Green were on an outdated system with poor graphics.

Some could argue that the old graphics were better than the new pseudo-3D. I wouldn't, but SG27 has.

Red, Blue, and Green had an outdated system, but I doubt it was affected by that. Ruby and Sapphire were only allowed to revolutionize the battle system because the GBC was incompatible with the GBA.

Holy crap, that's a pretty big leap in background graphics. The "almost-completly" sideview looks kind of interesting. :/
 
Keep in mind, though, that these are beta screenshots. Whether this whole sideways dimension thing (that looks terrible) is just how things work at this point is uncertain.
