A reboot of a franchise that doesn't even need a reboot, it's not even a decade old! And to make matters worse:

Yeah, imagine Spider-Man, only more like Twilight. Why, God, why?

...Good news is, though, at least this will free up some time for Sam Raimi to work on Evil Dead 4!

The actual comic book series is like 40 years old.

But the movies, yes not even 10. Why would they reboot it?

.....I just threw up in my mouth.
I did the same.

During times like this I wish I were old enough to have a gun and a license to kill.

I don't think those are distributed based on age.

Good.

Back On-topic: The reboot is obviously a bad idea.

Yeah, even if the Twilight thing is just a rumor (and I seriously hope it is), it still sucks because the movies were successful, even if the third movie wasn't as well-received. The fact that they're willing to throw it all away and start anew is just... baffling.

Edit:

An article explaining why everyone, myself included, should be pissed off about the reboot:

Edit, again:

Marc Webb confirmed to be director of Spider-Man reboot, plus details about the movie itself:
