An exciting tale about a retarded man, Charlie Gordon, who is used for a scientific experiment to make him smarter; it has only been done on animals before, namely Algernon, a small mouse who for the novel is named after.

anyone read this book it was really good :)
 
Read it back in 8th grade. We watched the movie, as well. Not bad.
 
Of Mice and Men was a better book about a retarded guy, but Flowers for Algernon wasn't bad.

I thought Flowers for Algernon was better, actually.

That may be because my father spoiled the entire thing for me before I read it, though.
 
Yeah, it does have some sad parts in it, but it's still a really good book.
