Okay, here is a new concept of thread that may be found interesting. In the past, there has been a Hurt and Heal covering the best cartoon episode that has been in an Elimination thread, as well as a Mend and Ruin thread to determine the worst episode that has been in an Elimination thread. This thread will go a different route and cover a different measure, the most average cartoon episode to ever be in an Elimination thread. Here is how it works.
-HP starts at 0 for all contenders. You can choose to heal an episode you like up until it reaches an upper limit of 13, or hurt an episode you dislike until it reaches a lower limit of -13 HP, so as to remove it from being the most average contender on the list in both instances. If an episode hits either amount of HP, it is eliminated from the thread; thus, whichever episode stays within the HP range of -12 to 12 HP without being eliminated the longest wins and thus is marked the most average contender on the list. Thus, in general consider eliminating first the episodes you think are the furthest from being average one way or another whether you strongly like them or strongly dislike them. Then, work your way towards the episodes you think are more average, eliminating the ones that you more mildly like or dislike by the end so as to keep your most neutral contender. (a.k.a. the further from 5/10 the earlier to consider getting it out)
Example: Here is a Nullify and Neutralize game for Vegetables.
Carrot: 0
Pepper: 0
Peas: 0
Tomato: 0
Onion: 0
Brussels Sprouts: 0
Celery: 0
The users who play tend to really like carrots, peppers, and peas, so they eliminate it by healing it to 13 HP as they agree that they are good vegetables, not average vegetables. On the other hand, the users who play do not like onions, brussels sprouts, or celery at all, so they eliminate it by hurting it to -13 HP as they consider the vegetables too subpar to even be average.
Thus results end up being:
Carrot: 13
Pepper: 13
Peas: 13
Tomato: 0
Onion: -13
Brussels Sprouts: -13
Celery: -13
With Tomato then winning the thread because users feel neutrally towards it instead of really liking it or really not liking it.
This may be the one thread where both users who strongly like a contender and strongly dislike a contender may consider working together to speed things up on changing its HP because at least they both agree that it is not average, one way or the other.
-You can do a total of 5 HP damage or healing total for up to 2 items, so for example hurting one item by 4 HP or hurting two items by 2 HP each would be acceptable.
-This thread covers the middle spots of cartoon episodes from every Elimination game covering cartoon episodes (except for the MLP VTW of course), but if a thread has an even number of contenders leading to two middle spots, both of them make it. Also, if a thread has multiple rounds (in this case the MLP S1-9 thread), the middle places from each round make it.
-If you have not seen every episode on the list that is fine, but please make sure you have seen the episode that you are eliminating.
There are quite a few contenders this time, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Like with the thread covering the entire show of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I am hoping that this thread will consistently have three or more players (even though it will probably be shorter than that one). Also like with that thread, this is intended to be flexible if one wants to play at their own place, so if a hold is requested to rewatch the episodes or any other reason, it will very likely be granted, but please let me know how much time you want the hold to be.
