I have some thoughts on how the wiki currently classifies a couple of Mario Kart World items, and I think someone should probably make a proposal about them.
the wiki currently considers the Coin Shell item in Mario Kart World to be the same object as the Gold Shell, which has appeared in several games with mostly unrelated functions, including a couple of the arcade Mario Kart games. Gold Shells have also appeared in the mainline Super Mario series with a very similar coin-related function to the Coin Shell in Mario Kart World.
I believe that Mario Kart World's Coin Shell is specifically the Gold Shell from New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario 3D World, and that this should be split from the other instances of "Gold Shell".

Block in Mario Kart World to be the same object as the Coin Box in Mario Kart Tour, which makes sense because it's the same item. these are both treated, however, as though they're the same thing as the wearable Coin Box item from the mainline Super Mario series as opposed to the floating ? Block object.
I believe the Mario Kart series Coin Box / ? Block is either its own unique item OR an interpretation of the mainline series' ? Block, not the mainline series' Coin Box.
what does everyone else think? is it a good idea to split Coin Shell from Gold Shell, and if so, should the NSMB2 and SM3DW "Gold Shells" come with it? and is the ? Block a new Mario Kart original item, or is it the same thing as the wearable Coin Box, or is it the same thing as the floating ? Block?
