Time Zone problems

My phone and iPad always says that every date on here is 5 hours ahead of when it was posted. If something was posted on 9:17 PM one day in my Eastern time zone, it says it was posted 2:17 AM the next day. And this doesn't happen on my computer. If I could have this changed I would appreciate it.
