Can I use a game disk from a different region on my computer?

I have one major question as I imported The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Europe and I have a North American PC.

Will the game disk work on my computer?

I'm parsing through several results, and I don't see a clear definitive answer on this.

If it's a disk you should be fine. Most disk readers are region free.
