Trivia information that's shared between pages.

Oh, excellent!
I've found that MarioWiki:Trivia doesn't seem to mention anything about information that belongs on other pages. There has been a few times were I've found trivia that is mentioned on more minor pages/character pages and also the main game pages. I've seen many instances where this happens and was hoping we could create some kind of guideline.

I've brought this up because of the recent edit on Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour in particular, where there have been numerous users adding trivia about Peach and Daisy's clothing. This information can be found on both Peach and Daisy's appearance sections, so the information is not needed on the main game page. The info is not really that interesting unless you like Peach/Daisy, and if people are interested in a subject they will more likely look at that article. The main game page should have information more specific to the game itself and not on other subjects.

So I wanna see what you guys think so hopefully we can resolve other instances like these. Maybe the trivia article can be updated if we work something out.

I agree with this, and there has been countless amount of times I removed trivia because I felt like they were better off mentioned in other pages than the pages they were mentioned on. I'm not going to search through articles to find out exactly when I did it, but I'm with you.

I also agree that it's worth specifying on the policy's page.

Does this flow well?

==Adding trivia==
The Super Mario Wiki allows users to expand articles with all the information they can get, and they usually create trivia sections to add interesting information that does not fit in with the general content. However, this method is discouraged because trivia sections have been overused. They often become cluttered with large amounts of information that can actually be placed in the main content ("Summary" or "History" sections mostly), or simply removed because such information is already mentioned in the main content, or takes the form of speculation, opinion pieces, or otherwise irrelevant factoids. Any information within a trivia section should also be strictly relevant to the article it appears on. For example, miscellaneous information about a character's appearance in a game would best belong on that character's respective page - not the game's page.

It's recommended that the {{tem|trivia}} tag be applied to overly long trivia sections, which indicates to other users that they shouldn't add more information, but rather, find convenient places for the preexisting trivia points elsewhere on the article.

Looks good enough to me.

Awesome, 'tis updated.

I'll go and archive this topic.
