Its not a virtual game but it needs to be said that Battletoads OBVIOUSLY has the greatest pause music out there. And double Dragon II the Revenge has great title screen music.
 
First one that comes to mind is Frog's theme from Chrono trigger. That music has epicness written all over it.
 
The Super Dimentio theme and some of the Punch Out themes would be my opinion.
 
Besides the MOTHER/Earthbound series, I realy like the DKC series. DKC1's music had a classic gaming/80's music theme. 2 had a late 90's hip-hop theme. 3 had a big varity that I enjoyed. The GBA port of 3 had a more modern feeling to it, (For those who don't know, the GBA port had a different soundtrack because the origanail had notes too low for the GBA) the songs were either very epic, (sled theme) or fail. (snow theme) The jungle theme on that was realy good, but the jungle noises in the begining were too long.
