Mediawiki ZIP Checks error

I don't know if you guys are MediaWiki experts, but I currently have a wiki on localhost (not telling what name), and every time I upload an image, I get this error: An error was encountered when opening the file for ZIP checks.

How do I solve this?
 
From what I'm getting from a quick Google search is that your webserver doesn't have permission to write to the temp-folder.

Try figuring out what the temp-folder is that PHP tries to use, and what user your server runs at.

Please specify your operating system and webserver-software if you need specifics. (Windows, Linux? IIS, Xampp? Etc.)
 
I got rid of the ZIP checks error by changing the directory, but now I'm getting this:

The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the filename. Please check whether you really want to upload this file.
