A new amusement park in Orlando, Florida called the Skyplex is to build an observation tower with the world's tallest roller coaster installed being over 500 feet tall. It's expected to open in 2017. The current record is held by Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey which is over 450 feet tall.
