This is a path winding through a dimly lit forest. The path heads north-south here. One particularly large tree with some low branches stands at the edge of the path.

Behind House
You are behind the white house. A path leads into the forest to the east. In one corner of the house there is a small window which is open.

Kitchen
You are in the kitchen of the white house. A table seems to have been used recently for the preparation of food. A passage leads to the west and a dark staircase can be seen leading upward. A dark chimney leads down and to the east is a small window which is open.
I tried going down the chimney, and:

Only Santa Claus climbs down chimneys.

We've gone upstairs. It went to an attic, where we grabbed some rope and a nasty looking knife.
I tried opening the egg, too, but nothing much happened. I guess we'll just ... hang on to it for the moment.

EDIT: Apparently I read 'expertise' as 'experience'. The way I do this is I can't actually copy-paste down the things the game gives me, so I have to manually write down everything the game tells us. My apologies for this misstep.
The way it mentions we don't have the expertise makes me think we should just have it in our inventory. Maybe we get the skill later on? Anyway, time to head west.

Since there appears to be nothing else to do outside of the house (seriously, even the canyon gave us zero (0) options), should we try again at the troll? We might need to just bash at it enough to kill it. Should we do it or should we not do it?
