go to options -> minor tweaks ->Change Fonts and check what font is used there.

for the record the defaults are:

Serif Font: Times New Roman, 16 point

Sans-Serif Font: Arial, 16 point

Fixed-Width Font: Courier New, 13 point

Default Encoding: Western (ISO-8859-1)

For completion on the fonts this site uses, the stack of fallback stuff is this:

Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Trebuchet MS, Sans-Serif, Georgia, Courier, Times New Roman, Serif

Where Sans-Serif and Serif are browser-defined fonts (usually Arial and Times New Roman respectively). Each time the browser doesn't have a (character in a) font, it'll try the next font (for that character).
