Headphones problem

okay i don't know if any of you here might know what's going wrong but

i have headphones, and they work normally on every device i use, but suddenly they stopped working on my phone. when i plug them into my phone, i can hear music, but some static can be heard. sometimes it's minor, but sometimes it completely blocks out the music. i thought maybe it was a problem with my phone, but i tried my friend's headphones and they worked fine with the phone. does anyone have an idea what could be going wrong and how to fix it?

well if it only happens sometimes, it's possible it's just the plug for the headphones is damaged. sometimes you can manage that a bit by twisting it in the slot

No, it happens everytime I use it with my phone, just not with any other device.
