Doraemon

Gumball Machine

Celestial Guide
Doraemon was a manga created in 1969 about a robot cat from the 22nd century sent to the 21st century to save a Japanese boy named Nobita (renamed Noby in the 2014 dub) from a horrible future of poverty, mockery, and misery. Together, the two use Doraemon's gadgets to solve Nobita's life problems and have fun with Nobita's friends, his crush Shizuka (Sue), spoiled brat Suneo (Sneech), and local bully Gian (Big G).

Disney XD recently started airing some of Doraemon's 2014 anime episodes.

Here's a trailer for the Disney XD version (sorry about the quality):

Ok.

Are they going to pull a 4kids on us?
It's been airing for a few weeks now.

The dub is changed to be set in the USA, the characters have name changes, Doraemon's favorite snack dorayaki are called "Yummy buns".

However, these changes were decided by Fujiko Productions and TV Asahi in Japan to make the show more marketable and appealing to children in the USA, they weren't decided by Viz Media, Bang Zoom, or Disney. (For the record, Viz is distributing the dub, Bang Zoom is actually doing the dubbing, and Disney is airing it)

Also it's a really damn good dub, all things considered.

Nobita did call them dorayaki in the first episode, but immediately says "but around here we call them 'yummy buns'".
