This is just breaking-an Air Algerie flight has just crashed over Mali. I only saw a snippet from a TV-and that's it. I do not know how many were hurt-but this won't be as bad as the Malaysia Airlines 17 crash.

Something about that wording rubs me the wrong way.

My god, what's with all of the airline crashes lately? There's been, like, 3 in the past few days.

I hope the best for any survivors, and feel incredibly bad for the dead people.

according to this, 119 airline crashes occurred in 2012. that's an average of one crash every three days or so. i think you're just confused by the fact that off-topic discussion suddenly became the airline crash news line for some reason
