The difference between the two versions is so insignificant so I don't care much which version you use.
Nethertheless I will say Leaf Green because Venusaur in cover is better than Charizard.

Nevertheless I'm leaning towards LeafGreen because FireRed requires about a minute or so more's work, and I'm too lazy.
