And yeah, unsurprisingly, folks without established avatars are the hardest ones to give cameos too, lol. (Followed by generic avatars without distinguishing features.) I usually just use signs or write the names on death plaques or something, but Edo has a knack for digging up obscure posts where folks mention their fictional appearance for the first and only times.

It's not so much a knack for digging up old posts than a peculiar ability to remember useless information.
And sometimes I just flat-out make things up based on an amalgam of old forum avatars, or something they said to me once, or something else entirely.

IIRC you changed your color scheme when the comic was already in progress. For the sake of consistency we do not radically change character designs mid-comic for characters that already appeared. So everyone retains the form of whatever appearance they debuted in the comic with.
That's also the reason why DragonFreak does not have hair even though her updated avatar does.

I've really gotten into the Protomen over the last month. The Megas are still tops in my books, but Act I and Act II have really grown on me, and a lot of their covers are awesome.

Also, going back and retconning appearances would be way too much trouble - especially for me, since everything's handdrawn, so I'd either have to redraw and rescan every affected panel or painstakingly edit them in a way that makes the changes still look like markers, which takes a lot of work, even for recolours as there's different shades and overlaps and yadda yadda yadda.EDO said:
