I'm getting demolished by VB's deck, but I still like my Crystal Beast deck. Might try adding in some synchro's though.

It might've been different if you remembered all of the field spell effects at your disposal. And for the Synchros, you'll need to add Tuners to your deck.

Yeah, I always use something and then don't keep track of it. I'm going to add a few Xyz to my extra deck (level 3's and level 4's).

I also need to find a few decent 2000+ atk monsters, my main cards (the crystal beasts) only reach to 1800 base attack. Hamon is great, but my strong cards die relatively quickly. Setting down S/T cards causes me trouble, because it gets cluttered when I start filling up my back row in order to use the better Crystal Beast spell cards.

Eh, you might not want to add any Synchro or Xyz monsters, 'cause Crystal Beasts used to summon those will not go to your S/T zone. Maybe you should try adding some Malefic monsters since you already have a field spell.

Yeah, I added Malefic Rainbow Dragon (I already have Rainbow Dragon as part of the deck), Malefic Cyber End Dragon & Malefic Stardust Dragon (I don't need Synchro's or Fusion Material monsters and normal Cyber End Dragon & Stardust Dragon don't clog up the deck). Crystal Blessing and Sapphire Pegasus can rectify the Synchro/Xyz Monster problem but I don't think I'll bother.

I have 30/30 for Monsters & Spells/Traps. Though I have 25 spells and 5 traps because they're a hindrance for this deck if they aren't disposed of quickly. Ruby Carbuncle will fuck your shit up, she doesn't care if your atk power is nearly 2000 more than hers okay I lied

EDIT: VB and I played a Crystal Beast v Dark Crystal Beast match. That last turn was awesome, I had Hamon on my field and he had Rainbow Dragon, so I summoned Malefic Cyber End Dragon, used a trap to kill all 5 of my monsters and his single monster then summoned a second Hamon for a direct attack. I still can't even scratch his Lightsworn deck though, that stuff is tough to deal with.

Also, this is great, I thought my deck was kind of bad because VB always beat me but I'm doing pretty well against randoms. It's so satisfying having 5 crystal beasts in defense mode and just reviving them with spells. I had a wall of monsters for 4 turns in a row and the guy couldn't get rid of them. Then I used Amethyst Cat to direct attack him when he had 4 2500+ atk monsters out and won the match. He ragequitted the match after that, I guess I can't blame him since I could have ended it earlier but didn't so I could win in a humiliating way.

I'm sticking with Crystal Beast for now. It's a lot of fun covering the field in monsters and trying to summon Rainbow Dragon or Hamon.

And the combos that can be pulled off are glorious, even if they require a lot of setup and occasionally letting yourself take blows so that the Crystal Beasts can go to S/T. Going to avoid using Crystal Tree when against Crystal Beasts though, VB showed me how bad of an idea that is. Twice.

I've played Vocal Beat maybe 20 or so times now and DragonFreak about 10 or so times. Still have yet to play anybody else on the list.

That was an awesome combo in that last match though, he summoned three Rainbow Dragons and Hamon in a single turn. Now I know what it feels like to get destroyed by my own decks potential.

Yeah I figured.

Anyways, NSM, I am going to explain to you why you cannot legally use Swords of Revealing Light on the defense. Read this Article: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Quick-Play_Spell_Card

Notice the symbol. If the symbol is not there, you cannot play the spell card on your opponents door. Now observe the lack of a quick play symbol on Swords:

It's much more fitting here. Besides I wouldn't really count it as a "forum" game since it's played elsewhere.

Not confirmed for TCG (yet?), but sounds good; I'd like to try using these rules in private duels.

Heck, I would pick 2nd then always.
