Rest in Peace, Walkazo
Can someone who known French passe compose help with this:

Fill in the following sentence with the correct verb form:

Vous - en ville. (etre)

So would this be correct:

Vous etes en ville.

I think yes, i'm pretty new to french.

Ce n'est pas passé composé, mais oui, vous êtes est la conjugaison correcte.

Passé composé is actually the auxiliary être or avoir conjugated in present preceded of the past participle of the verb.
So since here your verb is être, it can't be in passé composé but it should be in present.

Vous êtes en ville.

Unless the sentence is supposed to be "you WERE in town" and the assignment's simply not spelling out you need the aux (in this case, avoir) in addition to the verb in question (être) because that should be a given, which would mean, iirc, the answer's:

Vous avez été en ville.
