New Pokemon anime

You heard right. In addition to the series with Ash, there will be another anime, closely following the original games.

EDIT: It's just a special. Not a full series.

Omg, this is what I always wanted. It sucks it's a special, but I guess it's better than the same old anime we always have.

Also, does every Red ever have to be fated to pick Charmander? I get why people like it, but still...
 
actually red starts out with poliwhirl and gets bulbasaur as his pokemon from prof oak I think.

That's in the manga, and Red actually starts with Poliwag and then gets Bulbasaur. I think most people thinks Red gets Charmander is become the Pokemon Red Version shows Charmander on the title screen.
