So then, Jumpman had went to E. Gadd's lab for his long awaited, Pokemon!

"Let me think… Oh, that's right. I told you to come! Just wait! Here, Jumpman! There are 3 Pokémon here! Haha! They are inside the Poké Balls. When I was young, I was a serious Pokémon trainer! In my old age, I have only 3 left, but you can have one! Choose! Will it be the Fire type Pokemon, Fire? Snapjaw, the Water type Pokemon? Or Shellcreeper, the Grass type Pokemon?"

Jumpman chose the first Pokeball he saw, which in question had contained the Grass type Pokemon, Shellcreeper. Jumpman's journey was almost as good as ready.

That was until, Jumpman's rival and grandson of the Prof., Donk E. Gadd, had inexplicably arrived, having the same goal in mind as him: to become the Pokémon Champion.

"Gramps! I'm fed up with waiting!"
"Hey! Gramps! What about me?"

Out of jealousy, Donk had picked the fire type Pokémon, Fire.

Jumpman goes to exit the Lab, but is then confronted by Donk E. Gadd.

"Wait Jumpman! Let's check out our Pokémon! Come on, I'll take you on!"
