in the anime flying type are like invincible :P (except ranged attack/other flying type)

Butterfree's Sp.Atk is epic, also there's Bug Buzz, Quiver Dance, Psybeam (if you're lucky enough, you can confuse the foe with this move).

Also, Silver Wind or Bug Buzz + STAB is massive death.
