It's an uber because everything in the Zombie type has low speed and Traunt

But the Gargantuar also holds something even worse, low Sp. Def./Atk.Most other zombie types have half decency in those stats, including the normal zombie and the imp, and since there are a lot of special attackers out there, Gargantuar has trouble.

See that Gargantuar in the corner, he was attacked by the Special Attack Cattail Spike, and look him falling down in defeat

Gargantuars can only use Physical Attacks so their Sp. Atk. was lowered for that, and look how badly he is due to the Special Attacks.
