This is an issue of scaling algorithms. You could manually scale it yourself before uploading it if you want it to look a specific way.

When I have it activated (In the case that Twilight did not appear in an episode or if there's a break. And probably indefinitely when the Season ends) I think I have around 70+ avatars. I just don't have it on because I make my Avatar one Twilight face from the latest episode.
