How I can do that?

GIMP is open source so yeah, it's free. I don't know how to install it on a mac; http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/

Open-Source doesn't mean it's for free, it means your Source Code is available to everyone.
Installing on a Mac is as easy as a simple drag-and-drop to the Application folder.

If they also provide free binaries and don't force people to compile it I think that's free.
 
The are some software that are Open-Source, but you'll need to pay for, like Red Hat Enterprise Linux, for example.
