Kimi Sparkle, the only Pegasister reviewer, gives a spot-on review of the episodes Read It and Weep!


So this is meant to be a parody of the FiM reviewers out there? That's cool, fun times! I usually hate these kinds of parodies, because they always make it seem like the reviewers are either wasting their time or "ruining" the show by making it less fun, which is kind of unfair, because this IS how we enjoy the show, and we're just sharing our enjoyment of the show through this unique way. Also, I totally did not get the jab at Gravity Falls at all, but I loved it anyway! It's also a nice "Take That" towards the idiots who try and "call out" "fake geek girls" and whatnot.
 
We don't have the synopsis yet. But if you saw the Season 4 promos we can figure what it's generally about.

Seriously, going by what we know of the first two episodes...

The first two episodes will establish how Princess Twilight's going to go
The 3rd episode possibly covering Twilight's living space
The 4th possibly showing that Twilight's Mother is the author of the Daring Do series
And this one covering on Scootaloo's inability to fly very well

This could very well be the most interesting start to the season the show has had. The potential's there for this to be the best season yet.

that's just fanon, as far as I know. i believe the producers only said scoots couldn't fly.

Tonight, I see the final episodes of Korra. And will be dwelling a bit on how I felt about the 2nd season of that show for a little bit. But once that's over and after a good sleep. I'll wake up in full "PONIES PONIES PONIES" mode.

Seriously hyped for this season to begin. I think it has the potential to be the best Season yet.

Well anyway, you are right about Episode 4 though. It is definitely a sequel of sorts to Read It and Weep. I just hope that the character hinted at in the comics to be is the actual author for Daring Do.

Last time Spike was "funny", it painted him as a greedy prick with everyone crapping on him and him not getting his way in the end. Yeah, not sure how to feel about this, though Cathy Weseluck is awesome.

Apparently, this guy was a story boarder previous seasons. It's actually quite common, I've noticed, for certain storyboard artists to be put in the director's chair, or even have their own shows. Hell, Lauren Faust was the same way with this show, at first.

Ugh... In all honestly, I didn't like what Amy Keating Rogers wrote in season 2, it was a big drop in quality compared to season 1. Hell, the Smile song owes a lot to Daniel Ingram in terms of how awesome it was, at least for me, and when I heard how A.K.R. ORIGINALLY intended the song to sound... yeah, wasn't that impressed. So, yeah, kind of nervous about this.

otherwise, the first part was pretty boring, so i stopped watching for a little bit and it turns out i missed

Wow, that might have been the weakest premiere yet. The only good part were the flashbacks and Discord. And it feels like they're going to be milking Discord until he's boring.

Maybe i'll post more thoughts later.
