I'll say option 6. I played the demo, thought it was fine albeit pretty easy, but the game didn't interest me enough for me to buy it. I do like how this game gave Peach her own unique environment, gameplay, and villain, much like other characters such as Yoshi, Wario and Captain Toad have...
This was adressed earlier, I believe, but essentially you can only view the "see more" option for your own profile, but not for other users. It doesn't have to do with how many username changes a user has had.
I like the standard 3D model of Mario, especially with the more detailed clothing introduced in Super Mario Odyssey; but my favorite forms of Mario are probably Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi Mario, I like how stylized they are.
Wow, it's been 4 years since I joined this place! Usually when I celebrate my forumversary, I just make a profile post about it, but this time I wanted to thank everyone here on the Boards for making it a pleasant place to be. When I joined four years ago, the world was in the midst of a global...
Another month, another issue of The 'Shroom. This month's installment of The Mariospective is a review of the game Pinball.
Also, I'm honored that both The Mariospective and The 'Shroom's Special Saga were featured in Poochy's Picks this issue!
Also also, I'm now the Design Manager for The...
I had a dream today that there was a Jeopardy-style quiz show titled "Quiz Pratt", and one of the questions was "What has Chris Pratt spent hours of his life stomping?"
Happy Friday! I revamped my signature some more, and made some art for it. I formerly had text links to my 'Shroom thread, ask thread, and art thread, but I replaced those with banners that link to those threads, to add some flair to my signature:
I gave each of these banners their own...
There's a lot of ones I enjoy listening to, but if I only had to pick five, they would be (in no particular order): GBA Sky Garden, DS Shroom Ridge, Wii U Dolphin Shoals, 3DS Neo Bowser City, and Wii Rainbow Road.
I'd say option 4. I come across Mario ads somewhat rarely - a few weeks ago, I've seen some ads for Mario vs. Donkey Kong on YouTube, and some time back, when Super Mario Bros. Wonder came out, I remember seeing an ad for it at a bus station. I generally encounter them in spurts.
Mario Party Superstars
I decided to try and get to level 99 on Stick and Spin (which is one of my favorite Mario Party minigames). It was smooth sailing for a while, but got agonizing after level 90. I did eventually get to level 99 and got the respective achievement.
Happy Mario Day! :mario: I made a variant of my portrait to commemorate the occasion, with Mario's trademark cap.
I also made a Little bird out of clay the other day. It's fairly small in size, so making the details turned out to be more challenging than I expected. Here he is, perched on a...
My favorite invincibility theme is probably the one from Paper Mario: Sticker Star - it's more elaborate than I expected when I first listened to it, and I like the more big-band approach to this one and how it incorporates the main Sticker Star melody. I'll also give honorable mentions to the...
Although I don't use backwards compatibility a lot (I've only used it with a couple games on Wii U and not at all on 3DS), it's a nice feature to have nonetheless. I hope the next Nintendo system includes it, assuming that it's a straightforward successor to the Switch.
Considering that I've been on the Boards for nearly four years, it's kinda weird for me to think that this is the first February 29th I've been on here. Goes to show how rare leap days are, I suppose.
Regarding Awards Analysis, we would firstly plan on discussing with the committee members whether to pursue it in the first place. The project would be something that would be worth doing if the committee has the drive and energy for it, which is what we would gauge first and foremost. We...
The other day, I made a ? Block out of clay, and today, I made a POW Block! It's nice to be making stuff out of clay again, even if they're more difficult to show off here than other mediums. While the details are a bit messy, I'm fairly happy with how these blocks turned out. These are roughly...
Booyah! BooYAH! BOOyah! …Eh, I might need to practice that catchphrase a bit more. I'm still getting the hang of this ninja thing.
Erm… anyway, I'd like to announce that Ninja Squid (@Diamant) and I are running for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson respectively of the 14th Poll Committee! Our...
I made a couple of small things recently - the first of these is the logo for The 'Shroom's Special Saga. It's based on the font and frame used in The 'Shroom's main banner.
This second thing needs a bit of context. So, the other day, I watched a video where someone made a sprite of Mario...
I took a quick listen, and from what I can tell, it's based on In the Castle Walls (aka the Peach's Castle theme) from Super Mario 64, but with a bouncier beat.
New 'Shroom issue! This month in The Mariospective, I'm covering Mario Bros. on the NES!
In addition, I have a special one-off section this month titled The 'Shroom's Special Saga! This section is a deep dive into the complete history of The 'Shroom's special issues, from Issue 1 to Issue 200 -...
Back in February - March 2020, not long before I joined here, I made sprite edits of various Mario games and characters (e.g. if Luigi was in Super Mario Land, that sort of thing). One of the ones that I did was a Luigi-themed parallel to Goombario by recoloring his hat from blue to green. I...
Here it is. I decided to use a simple background pattern, as I thought it looked the best, even while cropped or with text laid on top of it. It uses icons associated with 'Shroom sections that I've written. The nail represents Picross, the microphone represents Monthly Inquisition, the Super...
While I don't have anything major to show this time, I made a bunch of small things recently.
To start, I revamped my signature yesterday. I think the last time I updated it was in 2021, so it was in sore need of a refresh. I replaced the old Goombuigi logo (which was simply my name written in...
I don't think so. Nintendo doesn't generally do hardware announcements in Directs (outside of themed versions such as the Mario edition Switch). The Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED have all been announced via standalone videos / presentations, and I think the same will be true with the next...
