Rovio removed them in 2019. They couldn't keep updating them and they were built on outdated software.

Aah, you mean the games. Yeah, I was aware they were gone.

I wanted to redownload them recently, but to my surprise they weren't displaying in Google Play search results. I then looked through my account's download history and found the apps lurking in there, still being available to download. Quite the loophole, eh?

Hopefully, them officially recognising the apps once again could be an indication that updates are in order for Angry Birds 1 and Seasons, at least. I'm really not a fan of Angry Birds 2 for feeling too repetitive even for series standards and having a hardcore amount of gacha mechanics, paywalls, and ads that make Mario Kart Tour look like an embryo.

Huh.

Never paid a single cent on AB2.

Sad that Rio and the two Star Wars ones won't comeback.
