anyways I've always been a quick and agile knife and dagger kinda guy. it'll take down a bulky boss any day as long as you are smart.

plus throwing stars are so darn fun. (yes I own some)

Excuse me, but you overlook the elegance and effectiveness of the spear/polearm.
While not a ranged weapon, you can effectively fight as a distance, keeping your enemies at bay fairly effectively regardless of their strenght or agility.
If they can't reach you, they can't beat you.

Okay.... but a well placed lunge-parry with a normal broadsword is all it takes to unarm your opponent and give you a significant opening for attack.

No one talks about the things you're always equipped with: your own hands.

Well you need them to stand. Your hands are always free.

Unless you are handless or you are chained like Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia where I guess kicking is great too.
