Super Mario Boards

Yeah, it was cool. Nintendo seems to be giving it the cold shoulder. They better bring it back or they are going to be in a world of penguin.

Nintendo's pretty cozy with this powerup! Developers put this (and Penguin Luigi) in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. From the Nintendo Tokyo store, Penguin Mario's also lucky to get 2D vector art alongside other iconic powerups like the Tanooki Suit, Cat Mario, and Metal Mario (not to be confused with Metal Mario). Additionally, Mario Kart Tour gave Luigi the Penguin alt and it remains Luigi's only alt costume (the retro recolor is not a costume). Also Penguin Mario's shown alongside other powerup for Weird Mario for some reason. Finally, Penguin Toads are minion team members in the baseball and soccer portions of Mario Sports Superstars.

I remember I was disappointed with how rare Propeller and Penguin Suits were in NSMBU, since they were my absolute favorite power-ups in NSMBWii. At least you can get them from some Toad Houses at the end.
