Here's a secret: Basically any video game character with some kind of identity has the potential to be in it, and an arbitrary number of arguments can be made for or against their inclusion. The specific set of those arguments a person will bring forth is entirely dependent on how much they like or dislike the character, not how feasible or "valid" that character actually is.
Once you realize this, all cries of "(character) MUST be in smash goddamnit" or "(character) is not fit to be in it, and I will riot if they get in" become noise, and you can instead focus on whoever actually gets in and feel happy if you like them.
Don't give power to people who want to convince you that your favorite should never be allowed in Smash. It is not their call to make which characters you like.
