Why is this show so memorable despite how bad it is

Probably because it's really corny and cheesy, which gave it some sort of personality.

I feel like the voice actors were talented. I can quote more than a line or two from their characters lol.

Show also pioneered Luigi being a coward and Mario being the brave one. Gave them fitting personalities despite those cheesy voices. I kind of liked the pasta jokes too.

I'm also a fan of the weird scenarios they made up rather than having everything just be directly lifted from the games. Like, episodes where they're all bikers and pasta is a strategic resource. And them interacting with the "Real World" was typically pretty interesting.

Oh yes I really like Mario being a New Yorker. Then moving to New Dong city through some pipe in the bathtub or whatever.

The SMB3 show was far superior. It had no convenient trucks of spaghetti sauce or anything.

Buttttt the SMW one is not good, Mama Luigi aside I guess.

SMB3 had the Koopalings who were pretty amusing. Even Wendy was so irritating that she was entertaining.

Yes giant teenage mutant ninja koopas vs Mario sensei was great.
