hope they won't end up bricking nonmodded systems like they did with nonmodded wiis years ago

I think I was hit by that years ago! My original Wii won't read disks anymore and I did absolutely nothing to it.

Which system are you referring to?

@Raven Queen Nintendo released a new update for the 3DS a day or two ago that breaks all current softmod methods. If your system has already been modded, you're fine but if you haven't yet, you'd need to use a flashcart that has ntrboot on it (or can be flashed with ntrboot), another already hacked 3DS, or physical hardware modding to your system in order to mod it

Wow, that's a massive shame, especially since I had kind of been considering getting a spare/backup 3DS and would love to have that modded.

Oh, I've done some research and since I already own a hacked 3DS and a physical copy of Sticker Star, I can hack another 3ds with stickerhax
Otherwise yeah easiest way would be to order a flashcart
