Whatever disinterest Jazari had in this venture finally came out as a groan towards Connie's words. All eyes fell on the gray-eyed man, his hands stuffed in his hoodie pocket and expression unamused. "Are we sure we even have the time to focus on a wedding, given oh I dunno, the islands we need to save and all?"

"Don't be such a downer, Jazari!," came the soft yet stern voice of Princess Peach, "I think a celebration of a Bond is just what this disconnected world needs."

Jazari turned his attention to Mario and Luigi in hopes for a different opinion, only to find them nodding along to her words. "Are you actually AGREEING to this timesink?!"

Mario's voice was tinted with a laugh when he spoke, "Sorry Jaza, but the Principessa has a point." A meek "Yeah!" from Luigi chimed in to further attempt to silence Jazari's complaints.

Chilliam had gained a nervous look from all the snark and tried to redirect attention back to him and his fiancée with a cough. "Though, despite all our talking, we haven't done any… planning for this ceremony."

Mario and Luigi were next to gain a nervous expression, taking a glance over to Jazari to see his frown had deepened into a scowl as he rolled his eyes in an "I knew it" fashion. Jaza then snapped his mouth into an unnatural smile. The tone he spoke in may have been friendly but his words were anything but, "You know what? You all have fun with your 'ceremony of bonds'! I'll be here when you're ready for the actual important work." And with that, he walked away with a huff.

Burnadette was the first to speak up once Jazari was out of earshot, "Is he always so…," she paused as if trying to find a nicer word on her mind, "rude?"

"Not worry!," Luigi butted in, "He just, ah, not interest in these… sorry…"

His brother put an arm on his shoulder and tried to lighten the mood, "He's not one for such public displays of affection, ey bro?" Luigi's face flew up in blush before pushing Mario off him with a "Stai zitto!"

Jazari wasn't the only one hearing all the chatter and laughter from a distance, as on a secluded cliff on Shipshape stood a familiar nefarious trio listening in.

"Pfft. Wedding, schmedding," came the unamused voice of Ecks.

Ten was similar, his eyes squinted in more detestation than usual, "Is there a way we could ruin this?"

"I have a good plan!" The other two wires jumped a bit before turning to Shun, not used to him piping up so eagerly. Their shock continued with Shun pulling them into a huddle to whisper his idea to them.

Ecks quickly broke away from such close proximity with an exclamation, "Seriously? YOU came up with that?!"

Ten straightened up next, "I hate saying this, but it's actually a good idea. Though, I didn't hear where I'd get involved."

Shun chuckled under his breath, "Always thinking of yourself…, here's the thing. You don't."

"WHAT?!"

"Ohhh, now this is great!"

"There's no way you can form a plan without me and not have it fail!," Ten insisted, offended Shun could ever think otherwise.

His chuckle had transformed into a belly laugh at the purple wire's bewilderment, "Okay, okay, maybe you could… uh…," Shun tapped his chin, "Scout? Scout out Shipshape and watch over to make sure the plan succeeds?"

Ten's lower bezel twitched knowing full well this was just mindless busywork. "Fine," he spat, "but don't come crying to me when this 'plan' falls flat on its face."

Ecks' grin couldn't be any wider as he raised a hand and announced, "Alright Shun, lead this one!"

It's times like these Jazari was thankful for the lush vegetation on Shipshape. So many nooks to get lost in and not be bothered. Perfect for him given his foul mood. He refused to get involved in such a ridiculous event, a wedding during these times? Were they just asking to be targeted by Zokket's generals or what?

Jaza took solace in a particularly forestry area on the island, the trees blocking most of the sun giving the place a serene appearance. Perfect to sit underneath one, close one's eyes, and maybe drift off…

His relaxation was short-lived when he started hearing rustling and… grumbling? Jazari sighed as he stood up, he's tired of these random Concordians getting lost in this part of the island but might as well be a good Samaritan.

Ten couldn't even attempt to hide his frustrations as he tried to find a good spot in these lesser-known areas of Shipshape. Every step he took was clopped with anger, how dare they relegate him to such a backseat position! He was the most capable out of all of them, the only one with defensive measures on-hand, the only one with enough prowess to sweettalk someone, the one Zokket favors the most…

Thank the Great Conductor this was just a little side project Shun came up with so any fallout wouldn't land on the Boss' ears, and he'd be spared from yet another reprimand.

"Let's see…" Ten started, having found a good spot where he was out of sight yet able to view the main hub of the island, "...how massive of a fuck up Shun can pull off." Being in such a private place he was able to speak out all his thoughts without filtering. Finally, a voice of reason! "I'm betting on him autistically spilling out his plan to the 'Stache Bros like he nearly has countless times before… hm…" Yeah, this was far more entertaining than being a part of such a stupid scheme.

Jazari stopped dead in his tracks when he found the rustling's source. What was HE doing here? Shit, he's right, that damn wedding already put them in the Extension Corps' radar and now they were going to weaponize it to Glohm so many people at once. Not on his watch!

Ten didn't get the chance to finish his monologue before he was yanked and tackled harshly to the ground. He yelped before shutting up, not wanting any noise to draw attention to his location in enemy territory. Maybe these spots on Shipshape have wildlife he was unaware of, but what animal has white laced bangs? Wait…

"YOU!," both men whisper-shouted to one another.

"What are you doing here!?," Ten shot, realizing he was fully pinned down by this human.

"I could ask you the same thing! You really thought you could sneak in and zap us all just like that?!," Jazari answered with a tightening grip on one of Ten's wrists.

Ten attempted to sit up but found Jaza's strength to be, quite impressively overpowering actually, "What-? Does it LOOK like I'm Glohming people by HIDING?"

"You haven't given me a single reason to trust you otherwise," Jaza found his tone calming down at Ten's helplessness. It would be nice to put him in this position more often.

"You- Well- Ugh! I don't even have the damn thing to Glohm people with!"

Jazari took a glance at Ten's arm cannon to see that it was, in fact, empty of any Glohm Ray. "Hm, well you're still Te-HEY!"

Having Jazari focus more on his surroundings caused his grip to loosen just enough for Ten to slip out and overtake the human. He was unaware just how heavy this wire was, and now he was getting a personal demonstration of their power imbalance. As least he still had his hands-

SNAP!

Both of Jazari's wrists were quickly snatched by Ten's pincer hand. It was getting worse by the second, this meant no easy access to his magic and no easy way to get out. He looked back at Ten as the direness of the situation sank into his gut. This man was more than double his size, what was he thinking?!

Ten lost his anger a while back, now far more interested in playing with this side of Jaza he's never seen before. So small, so scared, how has this pathetic man been able to torment him for so long? The wire couldn't help but chuckle.

'He's toying with me!,' was Jazari's abrupt thought to Ten's face turning cocky. He was not about to be someone's plaything so he used the only limbs at his disposal, his legs.

All Ten did in response was raise a corner of his bezel before trapping Jaza's legs with his own. "I wouldn't keep testing me if I were you," he stated as he tapped his cannon against Jazari's head.
